Yeah they are plates. I guess the driver likes licence plates.

The outside pictures do make the details/weathering stand out in a new and better way.  Each time I look at this model I see something new - US State license plates?!?  WoW

I drove a truck for 5 years and I have to say the weathering is spot on. The grease on the 5th wheel, grime and dirt on the frame, brake and air lines, just perfect....the trailer rust, just a fantastic job

      Tiking, simply brilliant, that netting.  Now you don’t have to “worry” about losing any of your tires as you motor down the road.

Also the fresh oranges are good to keep your energy up  on those long hauls

Added a net to cover the container to prevent tyres from falling off:

OK. Now is the haul with the net. I am not really concern of the correct way of doing the attachments. As you can the see, if one has to be so concern about the restrictions of how the net should be attached then just take one look at the entire haul as a whole; then the net should be less of a concern. :) Just my take on the whole thing. There are hooks at the end of the four corners of the container for the net to be attached.

Wow, I don't get over here much but that's amazing!!! Love the rust and grime.

I don't think I've seen anyone mention it but I love even more the beat-up, bent, and bowed-out work you did on the trailer. She really looks like a working truck, like she's been backed into stuff, had heavy stuff banged up against her, and had a bucket rammed into the sides of the container.  

 

Thanks Gamera. Yep! She has had her time and it will be off to the scrap yard in about a weeks time. No salvaging required.

Glad you liked the results. Still need to grind down  the  tyres some more. And will, thinking about it anyway; adding a net over the tyres. We'll see what happens.

Utterly fantastic build!  I wish I could make models look THAT realistic.
Great pics, too.
The ONLY gripe is......the tires in the trailer look too.....new.  Chucking them onto a mandrel on a drill and sanding them down would have made them look used and worn out.
BUT.....other than my useless comment.....that's one HECK of an awesome build.

   I have that same problem with barge and cargo ship loads . It is tedious , But as I said . Spot On !  T.B.
