By the way, TamiyaCon is on the 17th and 18th.

Thanks for the correction!!! And thank you all for the compliments!! The decals are still being touchy, but I have realized (though maybe a bit too late) that the micro-sol is kinda bubbling the decals up. So I've been using just the Micro-Set for the later decals, and everything is working great so far. Hopefully I'll be able to get the other ones to snuggle down, but if they don't do it in time, I'm just gonna have to clear coat and go with it. FreedomEagle, I'm jealous, I've never seen a 1/1 version in real life!! I've heard that a few 1/1 vehicles show up for the TamiyaCon, so I'm anxious to see if that's true!! Either way, I'll be taking lots of pics!!

April 16th, and 17th. It should be pretty fun, it will be my first comp, and first completed model also. I just figured that you never know (or learn) unless you try!! Besides, it gives me some motivation when I have a deadline!!! Otherwise, it would just sit on my bench for months while I keep buying and starting more!! LOL

I wasnt planning on it, but aftre some thought I may end up going after all. If i do, I wont be entering the competition. seeing as im a beginner and all I think the competition would be too tough for me, but I think it would deffinately help improve my skills. Not too mention I havent actually finished a model, got a few in various states of completion. What is the exact date of the event?

That's why I build a "dirty" Aircraft while I'm building a car, the pristine condition gets old!! LOL I think my heartrate goes up everytime I spot a piece of hair in the finish!!! I prefer flats to gloss anyday!!!

Looks great Heath. Sorry about the decals not cooperating though. Don't have any tips there, still learning myself with cars.

She's getting there. I've been having major troubles with the decals wrinkling, and bubbling up.....especially around the fenders....and it seems that in certain spots where I have applied micro-sol the decals have actually bubbled up...it just looks weird. Oh and of course on the hood in front of the windshield two of the decals didn't match up. I have a spare decal sheet, so I'm just going to have to graff on a piece to match it up. If anyone has any onther ideas on how to fix the decals, please let me know ASAP!!!!
