First off lemme say that I enjoyed watching this one come together Max. Secondly I've gotta hand it to you for not only a superb and creative build but also for the fantastic photo shots that you've presented. Really fun build to gander at.

Lastly ....a name.:hmm: Corvineum Falcon stands out.

Hmm, I'm trying to come up with a name for this to perhaps add to the graphics. You guys are more than slightly creative and might have some suggestions. My picks so far are "Asymmetric" or "Maximum Falcon". That last one has a nice ring to it. OK, your turn. Make me laugh!

Hey thanks Steve! That had been on the bench way too long. On to other projects! The Hodaka 1/1 speed attempt machine beckons for attention as does my boring and everpresent repair/painting the house project. Bah, the motorcycle is much more fun! I've been spread too thin.

Lol. I understand completely! Enjoy your projects my friend.

Stratigically placed, super top speed on the run refueling of course

Thats what I kinda figured. Something like the vidio game "Spy Hunter" . Pull into a moving truck and 30 second's later , Ta-Da , full of fuel and back up to speed.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

I think it's time to take this to the salt flats for speed trials. The twin parachutes have been installed along with their explosive deployment devices and I've fiddled with the overall paint job about all I'm going to. Time to burn some jet fuel.

This has been a really fun project in that you can do it your way or any way. No rules or historic facts to duplicate nor critics to care. It started off to be silly and cartoonish but slowly evolved into something somewhat feasable in real life. Well, maybe. It did make me say "what if" and think about the problems of real speed attempt machines that always need less frontal area and more streamlining. Lotsa power is needed to go fast and hopefully this engine combo should suffice. In real life I would't drive this thing even on a bet. First of all that jet engine in the cockpit seems like a bad idea somehow. How fast can you go on plastic tires? Lots of unknowns here. Fun to think about though.

Also, this is the cheapest model I've ever built and wins hands down for most fun per dollar. Won by my wife at a model show with five one dollar tickets. Paint, accessories, engine and tanks, decals, all in stock, leftover from other kits. Also, most laughs and entertainment from a from a model kit. 6,809 views and 155 comments on our forum. Thanks for that BTW!

I think I got my money's worth on this one!

Hodakamax
but maybe it will be a used race car.

L O L .... ( salesman speaking : Yea, it was used by a little old lady.... once a week to get to church.... low , low mile's .)

I love the way the nose turned out !  no headlight's = less wind resistance.

( Beside's ,you dont want to be speeding along at 600 MPH after dark... )

Very interesting take on this car Max. Great ideas in motion throughout the build.

Hmm, dry mock-up. Some flaws and fit and detail things to deal with. The paint is not up to standards but maybe it will be a used race car. I think it needs some bold numbers to set this thing off. Sponsers are good as they don't just give jet fuel away in massive amounts. Getting there, not perfect but a fun concept. Looks way too dangerous to drive for me.... Soon!

I did take the Corvette out of hibernation yesterday and shot the black stripe on it. This is one that finally got too much paint on and wasn't drying properly. It had gotten to the point of starting over or leave it alone for a while. Things seem to have stabilized but it still needs the silver touched up. At least it's on the bench again. Speed trials soon, hopefully!

Thanks Gang! Back soon I keep saying. I've too many irons in the fire is the the excuse. I'm doing some serious exterior house maintenence which is eating my lunch on the Corvette and Hodaka project. July is the time Kansas turns to a heated hell which will drive me back into the laboratory soon. The Hodaka speed project is lookin' cool as the $ rise. I remember now why projects like the Corvette are fun! I still don't have $10 in it. Hopefully the vette will be done soon but the speedster will probably entertain me for a few months or even years. Hey, don't forget how long the Seaview took! Thanks for checking on me!

Good to see ya back in the shop again Hodakamax, Spring can really cramp a modelers fung shway. I though you may have taken your 'vette out for a test run and was just coadting back from the outer rim.

Hey, spring has finally sprung. Too many projects, some fun, some not. The Corvette and the Land Speed motorcycle are on hold temporarily but are on the list. Maybe the paint on the Vette has finally solidified. Not the first model with too much paint! Been there. OK, reporting in. I did purchase some jet fuel. Soon!

Well, I've been watching paint dry for several days but the masking tape is still pulling up silver. I put a test strip of the equivalent of Future under the chin and let it dry for a few hours. I then put a strip of Tamiya masking tape over that. A few hours later I pulled the tape and it looks as though the Future has sealed the silver. Hard to see in the picture but it seems to be sucessful. I think I'll do a couple of coats of Future in the to-be-masked areas and re-mask them for my black stripe. Crossed fingers here!
