Greg: Thanks buddy. Say.... on those door panels of yours.....don't worry about it. Mask it off and shoot the paint on in thin coats. If it doesn't turn out the way you want it then chunk them in some brake fluid, wash off and then start over. You'll get endless opportunities to get it right buddy. Can't wait to see some more progress on it.
Joe and Max: Thank you guys as well for dropping in. Joe.......answer your dang phone!!
Well after adding the floor mats, blue seat belts and some other details like the magazine and bottle cap opener on top of the magazine, I think I've broken up the color pattern somewhat. I managed to sneak in a black demons head in between the seat. I had the choice of black or white but chose the subtle route. The interior color layout was a brainstorm of ideas I came up with so I really had no reference for it. Just vision. Still gotta pick out a few details like some switches and all but I've got it about where I want it. I also still have to install the accelerator and brake pedals, shifter lever and fire extinguisher to complete the base tub. To recap....Before:After:

Loving the before and after..... as usual, your little interior details add more than a little.
LOL! Thanks Greg!!
This may not seem like much of an update but that fire extinguisher was no small job to paint up and put BMF on for the straps. The part came from the 68 Hemi Dart kit along with the decal. The gauge decal came from an instrument panel gauge decal from the AMT 67 Chevelle Pro Street kit.
Wow,
Except for the fact that I see the green cutting pad in the background, that almost appears to be a full size interior
I must have been busy with stuff because I missed this blog until now. Your attention to detail is always inspiring.

Thanks PFJN!!
Bob, it's always good to see you and thanks.
Well I've got some sizeable progress done today. Got the dash mostly finished and am currently working on the steering column and steering wheel. I got the radio and equalizer installed this morning as well as installing the fabricated shifter. The OOB shifter SUCKED!!
Looking good Joe!
Thanks Mike!
Great Progress Joe. So many fine and appropriate added details………………………WAIT! What this? Have I found a Gigantic Flaw in the work? Tell me it isn’t so…………
All in good fun ol' buddy

Building the perfect model---just not quite yet
That interior you got going is muy fabulous. Glad I thought to check on this since the forums are experiencing a glitch in their e-mail notifications. That is, we're not receiving any. The admins finally got wind of the issue and tech is supposedly working on it. Hope it's fixed soon as I rely on them to keep up with threads of interest. Like yours.

Thanks Steve and Joe.
Steve: You crack me up man.
Joe: Hope you're doin' alright.

Steering column and Grant steering wheel installed. I went ahead and went with a black center on the steering wheel to tie some of the black in the interior together. Interior is...……………….finished! Moving on to the body. I've been getting rid of the mold lines and ejector pin marks for a couple of days. Today we have......primer!!
Ah, the project is lookin' good! Not only did I always want a real one of these, a friend of mine has one buried in his garage. His dad saved things and as a teenager I went out annually to their place to try to buy the Willys stored behind the barn. The kids were friends of mine now and then and they finally built some sort of Hot Rod out of it but it was put away decades ago. I see my friend is buiding a new shop next door to the old garage. It's time for me to stop by and check on the Willys. I've been after him all these years to resurect his project. That's my story. Maybe I should just build the model and get this out of my system! Watching!
Maxie
Thanks Max. Man that would be nice to find one of those in a barn somewhere. Hopefully you score on that acquisition. I hope to hit the jack pot one day and have my OWN '56 Ford F-100.
Body work is complete and the paint has been underway for a few days now. Everything behind the front fenders has been painted with Testors Icy Blue decanted and shot through the AB. Will be shooting the pearl white on the fenders this weekend. I trimmed up the decals meant for the much older Revell multi-piece Willys and applied those on the door this morning. Gotta do some graphing with the hood decal onto the door at the front but feelin' pretty good about it so far.
You have got everything looking downright fantastic. Terrific work on the interior all around. The detail is certainly impressive. I love your paint scheme and the great colr selections. I'm really excited to see it all finished. Lovely craftmanship on this one Joe. definitely eye catching.
Those wheels really add a lot. I'm going to have to start hunting for them for my car kits.
Thanks,
John

Thanks Joe. Good to hear from you on here. Hope you are still doing well pal. Good to talk to you this last week finally.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE!!!!!!!
I hope you have your self one grand day.
Here be a pic of my latest acquisition. This ought to be fun one whenever I get around to it.
Thanks Joe!
I DARE you to start that build. Go on....you can do it!!
Finished this one up this morning.
To recap:
Started out with these two kits and a Pro Street vision. I did end up using a few parts from the old Revell release such as decals (for patterns) , rear license plate and a couple of small items here and there. The Street Demons paint scheme on a Pro Street car was what I was after.
I've always had an eye for Revell's "Street Demons" series back in 1983 but I don't really care for the gasser look that a few of 'em had...……..this one in particular. In staying with the theme I set out to change things up a little bit in the way of a slight color change up, stance, powertrain and interior.Powertrain: Super Stock 426 Hemi came from the Revell 1968 Hemi Dart kit with upgrades to the ignition, fuel and throttle linkage systems. Wheels: From Future Attractions. I had my machine shop at work cut the rear wheels in half due to the fact that they were just too dang wide to use with the tires I had.
Aftermarket Items: Too many to list.Paint: Testors Icy Blue Lacquer, Testors White Lightning Lacquer and Testors Wet Look Clear all decanted and shot through an airbrush.Decals: Speedway Decals

That turned out great. Really nice build, great paint, super fun details... just wow.
You've done quite a lot of detailing there. Looks very good.

That came out looking absolutely spectacular Joe. Wonderfully done my friend. The paint job came out beatifully. It is always an incredible pleasureto have you share your remarkable work and talent with us Joe. Bravo!
As for the Pinto modified, well, it may not be tomorrow but, I'll get to it soon enough.
Thanks fellas! Really appreciate all the great comments.
Joe-Looking forward to it.
Missed a good month of updates. Wow, at the end you really moved along.
Absolutely stunning work, Joe. After that interior, I didn't see lots of room for awe on the exterior. Wrong!!!! Love it.
And that one shot looking inside from the side window is so cool.......
Whoa! I've been away on other endevours and just checked back in on the project. Excellent! I'm a photographer and can also comment on your photographic presentation. Excellent! Cool subject and good job!
I've always loved the Street Demons color scheme that Revell used for this kit. I built this kit way back in 1992 and then my cat knocked it off of the shelf, destroying it. I couldn't get mad at her - she was just being a cat. I plan to build this again some day!!
