Well, it is done except for the running light on the right fender.  I lost that little part, so will have to scratch one, but that will be a job, so back on shelf for awhile.

A gorgeous car, one of Harley Earl’s designs shortly after he was put in charge of the Color and Design department at GM. (the first formal styling department in the Big 3). It and Harley’s preceding Lasalle were regarded as revolutionary advancements in making styling an important selling point in the car industry. He had to fight uphill for respect though; the crusty engineers and finance men at GM derisively referred to his department as ”The Beauty Parlor”.

Gee;

 I am glad someone else who models has seen that car .They were all beautiful , even the few left beore closing .I think San Marcos lost a great fine find there .Well ,I didn't hear about this place till they sent tickets to our Museum to pass out to our visitors and staff .

 That's like the Confederate Air Force . They have a Museum there too .Getting to it is the trick ! Dicks was closed four weeks after my visit .I got sick and had to be hospitalized so I never made that self promised second trip . T.B.

Maybe so !

 But "Beauty Parlor" or not Some of those cars were intrinsically gorgeous . I wonder , Did the " Beauty parlor " become  "Fisher Body " design ?
