slow work day means more work done on this kit. But to be fair there's not a lot there and I decided to forgo going crazy with the details and build this straight out of the box. Mostly. Honestly, this wouldn’t be a bad kit to add uber details but after spending 2+ months on the Ecto, masking and sanding and adding little bits of detail,  I couldn’t stomach it. Had I not, I probably would have done so.

So far the only thing I don't like about this kit is that the axles are set up to allow the model to roll. So there are solid axles for this kit. and the front axle goes directly behind the pulley assembly, but in front of the engine block. See if you can spot it :)

I got some work done on the motor today. It's actually ready to drop into the bottom panel, so there's not a lot of parts. I'm hoping to have the chassis buttoned up tomorrow.

Also, I'm not sure if any of you are like me, but I don't really build kits in a linear way. Since I wanted the red highlights to have time to cure, I started there. The seat had divots to represent ventilation holes. So I drilled them out. ultimately the seat will be black but the ventilation holes will have red highlights.

It's a great looking Vette, very aggressive! Look forward to seeing yours when it's done!

I decided to pick up this one and give it a try. It'll be mostly straight out of the box. but i'm sure i'll add some extra wiring for details. But I'm pretty sure i'm not going to paint this yellow. I'll probably go bright red.
