I'm looking forward to you completing this build because I'm having a significant problem with mine and want to see how you solve it. I'm trying to insert the finished chasis/interior into the body and can't get it to fit. It gets about 3/4 in and then is hung up somewhere but I can't figure out where. The sides of the body need to be spread, as the instructions show, but it won't give enough for everything to fit. I've had several parts fall off from the strain and hear cracking sounds but it won't go. I'm packing it up and will wait until you get to this point. Other than that everything fit well and I loved the kit.

These are the body parts that will be shot white.  (I'm doing the end plates of the rear spoiler in the accent color.)

Nice save on the paint.  I'll be following along - considering this kit for the stash Cool

Thanks,

The parts and molding would suggest it's a great kit.  So far the fit does too...

I also painted the other gloss black body parts at the same time I repainted the roof section.

I hear this is a great kit.  We're coming up to May 1.  The day legendary racer Aryton Senna lost his life at Imola.  Good luck with your build.

The LP-1 Black (thinned with Tamiya lacquer thinner) checked and crazed over the TS-29 as it dried overnight.  (The TS-29 was shot 24 hours before the Gloss Black.)  Not the first time I've used this paint, but the first time something less than good resulted.

So I sanded it out and reshot with decanted TS-14 and had no adverse reaction.

I'm building this one straight out of the box, but changing up the colors (compared to the instruction call outs) to match some versions I found online.
First up was to paint the single piece monocoque semi-gloss black then gloss black for the cockpit area.  I used TS-29 and LP-1.
