Hi

next update, I have put the front end together (no glue involved) but the wheel is a bit loose at the moment, but hopefully when the brake calipers are in place they will hold it in place.

This is the modified bike side on with the front end (minus front mudguard-fender)

Front end angled.

The left hand side of both bikes.

The right side of both bikes.

The front end of both bikes. Modified bike has now got its front mudguard- fender, still no glue.

Another view of the front end of both bikes.

That's all for tonight.

CryingCryingCrying

I did a lot of work at the weekend. Friday night I was sorting out the wiring and adding more of the details to the front end. saturday I took the bike out of the cabinet and -------dropped it. Yes there was damage, but thankfully after I had calmed down (nearly threw it across the room!!) and looked it wasn't as bad as I first thought. When I built the front end I didn't glue it in place, this took the impact and came apart. There was slight damage to the front cowl, but I have since repaired it. There is also damage to the little frame around the forks but I will repair this when I refit the forks.

I will post more photos soon.

My weekend had another casualty that I didn't notice!- the front mudguard sorry it's blurred, but I have an ideal replacement for it --the other bike- sorted.

here are the photos of the trimmed wiring:

Left side

Looking forward

right side including the sensor running up the fork--- three hands needed.

and finally from the front

As you can see there are still random wiring bits still flapping in the breeze but until I fit other various connectors  they  have to stay there, but it does look like the bike has had a haircut. At least I think it's looking more like a bike.

Left side front connected.

And front from above.

I will hopefully do some more in a few days when my eyesight allows me.

Hi again

I eventually got round to finishing this build, well almost, I still have to do some work on the standard bike and do the seat on both bikes.I changed the figure that would be on the bike to an upright figure( for the moment) as I couldn't get helmet decals.

The one thing I haven't figured out is how to display the pair of bikes together. Anybody got any ideas?

Nearly time to start back on the Ferrari FXX conversion.

P.S A Happy New Year to all.
