AMT 1966 Chevy Nova SS

This is one I did up a few years ago, but am still proud of. Kitbashed together with an engine and wheels from a Revell Z/28, parts box TPI induction, seats and other small stuff, PSF hobbies aftermarket cowl hood and MCG photoetched emblems. Paint is all Testors products, airbrushed and polished with an LMG kit. Hope you guys enjoy!

Wow! First off GREAT looking model. Man this one sure takes me back a few years. When I had my 66 Chevelle used to run into a guy with a 66 nova that aside from the engine looked JUST like that! Wow. thanks for posting =)

Looks mean! You did a real nice job with it! In the picture it kinda looks like the air filter is metallic... next time try a flat colorSmile [:)]

Wow, what a (Super-)Nova!

Looks like you did the BMF-before-paint-trick, the Super Sport emblem is a real killer!

The whole car just screams beautiful, look at me.....

Thanks for the compliments, Nic. No BMF on the emblems, they are photoetched pieces from the Model Car Garage. This set has so many different parts that add so much detail I feel it's a "must have" for this model.

I can sure see why you push for the PE-set it looks gorgeous.

The reason I asked is that you can achive about the same results with BMF and a little patients.

This is how the emblems turned out on my '67 Coronet. First primer, then a slightly big piece of BMF and on to the top coats. After the paint is dry carefully rub the paint away with a chisel-shaped match stick dipped in some thinners and then a quick rub with some polish and you're done.
