I'll be following this thread.  Just got a BD-5 kit recently from a friend.

I was a member of EAA at the time the 1:1 size kit became available.  Delayed a bit and the Vari-Eze kits came out and I went to that instead, but still think the -5 was a beautiful aircraft.

Nice!

The Bd-5 has always been a minor obsession of mine! I would love to fly one someday.

How did they go together? Any issues?

I have 2 sets of these little birds in my stash, I suspect they are the same kit.

Any idea how you will paint them?

Something a little different for me.  A pair of 1/72 scale BD-5s.  These things are tiny.
The BD-J is on the left, the BD-5B is on the right.  I used Warbird Decals seat belts in them.
