Anime figure question.

  Im been cleaning my HF figures for weeks now two of them. I guess its good practice and one of them does have some pin holes that i just cant seem to get sooooooo  Im not going to worry about it. Its the kit from e2046 thats going to be the one that I want to K A on...

  Ive also been looking at the Mecha stuff looks really cool too.  Question are there any good anime modeling mags out there?

   I added flesh on her today but I think I need to add one more coat lighter I think then its on to the eyes....yikesssss

As far as the azumanga Daioh kit, the one I have been waiting for just got restocked not to long ago, after months of watching it be in backorder.

try to get any of the Azumangah Diaoh figures, they are always sold out. this fig is down to 49 USD, keep watching it and watch the discount bin...

i like E2046, I have several of thier kits, and thier ORI line is absolutely top of the line, well worth the money. I always check thier discount "bin" when I go there, I have reiceved fantastic kits in the twenty dollar range.   i also have spent a lot of time and effort reworking hobbyfan kits, not that all E2046 kits are perfect, but the HF kits seem to require more cleanup and fit work.  I really honestly try to avoid Ebay.......my beach girll has 5 cans of sandable primer sprayed on and sanded off to fix problems .....this was before i perfected my pinhole filling technique here

keep your favorite two part epoxy putty on hand for minor repairs and resculpts. I always prime with something like Tamiya primer or Gunze primer over the top of regular duplicolor primer, and polish that out with 000 steel wool. Paints are up to you, but im rapidly moving to all acrlic wargaming paints by Reaper.  I have learned to build up super thin transparent layers and get the tones I want with these paints.

use Cody's how-to on the eyes. it really got me going. I have a book of anime girls and i use that as my resource. Also, when you are laying out your eyes with the pencil, flip her over and look at her upside down, it really helps keep the pupils oriented correctly when you see her from a different perspective. i do them first, get happy with them and seal them with a few coats of Future . Don't be put of by them, tackle them first and mask/seal them off if needed to paint the rest of the face, which is always next for me when I paint. If I can get the face, I can get the rest of it.

Be careful when posting pix, some anime figures have been considered a little too risque for these boards. I don't mind, but there has been some controversy before hereabouts.

  Im working on one right now and i just ordered one from E246 so thanks for that site.  I have two from hobby fan and Ive spent days just fixing the one Ive been working on. I dont have the right stuff I feel like putty's and tools. Most of her is going to get primer today.

As far as building them, I have absorbed a wealth of knowledge about some of the basic problems and issues that go with figures and how to fix them, as well as other bits and pieces.  Any questions, ask away.  

Please dont go somewhere else with this, this is one of the things I want to encourage on this site.

Edit note, I asked him to post this here, as well as his post in the figures forum, because I know the majority of us scifi have atleast dabbled or looked into an anime kit at one point, I know a few of us know a bit more then that.
