smeagol that's why I wanted you to be apart of this, you have a great deal of experience to bring to the table.  Thanks for sharing your work, by the way, you still have not said what kit you nabbed from eBay?

Mad-Modeler, you are correct sir.  Before the Time Line we are referring to as Ma.K or Machinenkrueger, it was referred to as SF3D as designed by Kow.  I am sure others can go into the History far better than I can.  You will also see Ma.K referred to as Zbv3000, but regardless of the nomenclature, it all means the same.

Mad-Modeler

I will let you know for sure if I am IN or OUT within the next 2 or 3 days.

Busy running errands for my son and doing other shopping trips right now.

No rush on anyone, take your time my friend, after all, this is open for a whole year.  But I do hope when time is available we will be blessed with your work.  Thanks for the input.

I just want to say thank you to all who have came forth and are willing to help promote this Ma.K Group Build.  I believe this will help to expose the wonderful world of these kits to those who visit and read the posting on this wonderful Forum.  It is my intent to get those that are thinking about a build to jump in and be apart, this helps many with their building skills and lets face it, all peoples like to feel they belong in something, I believe it too be just human nature.  Again my heart felt thanks to you all, now does anyone have a hanky, got all emotional there for a sec.  NOW LETS CUT PLASTICWelcome Sign

Boy was happy to read the new postings this morning, two more buildersBig Smile have thrown their hats into the ring with everyone else.  And a big welcome goes out to all.  There is another I will work on tomorrow @ work to get him in to I hope!  This is going to be BIG for Ma.K and a 1st I believe for here.  OK, in response to some request:

1.  I forgot to include figures as part of the build, so any Ma.K related item is welcome.

2.  I also agree I did not allow enough time, so I thought about this, today is the 1st day of Aug, so lets extend the deadline to 1 August 2011.  Heck I might meet that as slow as I am @ building and gives chances for others to see what is being built and maybe joining in.

3.  Has been requested by Cosmic J to come up w/a Group Build Badge w/date.  I agree and will see what I can do, might need some help, not too sure how to do it, so anyone w/any ideas/tips/thoughts please feel free to offer your much appreciated help.

Well, I WAS going to decline to join, but a friend over at the MaK boards sent me the parts to build a Melusine - the parts arrived today. So I take that as a sign I should jump in. Big Smile

I'm thinking I might go with a Nitto Racoon kit I have in the stash. Just a nice, basic build, a good foundation for weathering.

You need to come up w/ a GB badge, GM. A picture w/ the title of the GB, and maybe the date, something for participants to hang in their sig lines. The cooler the picture, the better.

Can we maybe extend the time limit too? I'm a sloooow builder. Smile

Well don't die smeagol, we would lose our Historian and a good friend, LOL, but I do soooo much hope you get the AFS.  There are many good deals on eBay now and I hope to snag a few of them as well.  Picked up a 1/76 resin Nutrocker up today, a bit more than I wanted to pay, but I really wanted one of these, until Hasegawa comes out with their Big Plastic version of this beast.  I have been recruiting several other people to come on board from other locations to promote the Ma.K Time Line,  funny how much the story seems to fit some of what is going on to this very day, so the whole thing is a Sci-Fi story, yet could be very possible in the future.  Hope you get it smeagol.  What AFS are you looking to get?  Cheers my friend.Cool

I was hoping to hear from you smeagol.  Starship Modeler has a great selection, fast ship and the best prices in town!  www.starshipmodeler.biz.com.  You have all the time you need until the EOY!  I hope very much to see your handy work @ this, getting guys of your calibre is what will get the ones who are timid out in the open and posting a build.  After all, is that not what our hobby is about, people w/a common interest!  Where you @ Modelbuilder, I know your are interested, these are not complicated models to build, heck a AFS can be assembled in a day, now the fun part is in the paint/finish.  So it's not like building a heavy subject.  CJ, U need to be in this too!  I hope many will jump in, get the attention of those watching what is going on in the Ma.K world to see there is many places people are building their kits.  How do you think new stuff will get popped or re-popped for that matter.  But hey no pressure guys, I just need to call back the Buff's!!!!!!!!!!Whistling
