SCI-FI - Scratchbuilt Starfighters group build

I got my signiture working! Yahoo!

well, nothing much to report just my little girl has pink eye and a cold so i havent much time to alot.

I did the reverse on mine as I started on the fusulauge first and cockpit second and actually the cockpit is giving me the biggest headache right. I think this due in part to my inexperience in general with a lack of Air craft modeling as Im a long time builder of armour and soft skin vehicles and have only completed a few Aircraft.

I restarted my fighter after a lengthy lull....Almost have the cockpit finished and then will button up the fuselage. Still have alot of work to do on the engine sections.

Hey Jerry, it's pretty easy, first you need a photo host to up load your images to. I use Photobucket because they are free and easy to use. http://www.photobucket.com/ After you have uploaded your pics to the photo host you will be given a URL to link to the photo. You take that and place it between in your post. Note: you must remove the spaces after the "g" in the brackets. You can just use the image insertion feature on the message post page. It's the one that has the mountain & sun icon on it. One of the reasons I like Photobucket is they provide a URL with the bracket info already attached, just cut and paste into your post. I hope that helps.

Well people, Ive finnished the cockpit area and neck and primed it now off to the body, I havent been working on this project for the last week, the holiday for 1 and my wife had just decided to want the bath to be remodled so i spent close to a 1000 bucks on it and have concentrating on it. Now im going to start again this week! I gotta question, how do i load pics to this forum? Thanks, Jerry

Yeah I have a Fuji 200A 2 mil pix. Great camera but very thirsty. I need to invest in some recharable batteries. I'll look into those Rayovacs. Thanks Walt

Woody , welcome to the wonderful world of owning a battery oprated digital camera , I love them no more wainting for processing and if its a bad just trash it and take another then link up to the computer and away we go . I have 2 of the an older FujiFilm 1 megapixel , and a Cannon A-10 Powershot thats 1.5 megapixels , both are outdated but todays standards but they both work and the Powershot takes real good pictures of models up close , however just to give you a little helpful addvice , buy a good battery recharger and 3 packs of the batteries you'll be using , rechargables have come along way and depending how much you use it can last up to a month before needing a charge, you might be asking why 3 packs then ...., well keep your others chaged until you need them , I use NiMH batteries that don't retain a memory and you can keep charging them well past there 1000 charge mark and they still work great the brand I use is Rayovac and out of all the others I've tried they are by far the best and the cheapest as well . Hope this helps you out .

Went to snap a couple progress pics and the digital cameras batteries are dead! Not a AA in the house! I'll try again on Monday.

Well Ive got the basic body mostly finished and scribed Its the cockpit thats giving me a headache now. I always work at night Its a lot easier at times to get anything accomplished during the day with the kids at school. And sometrimes I take stuff to work on during my lunchbreaks cause nobody bothers me.

Jerry you got my interest now! I'm trying to visualize how those could go together. As far as the badge goes you need to go to your profile page and paste this into the box for you signature. . . I think there will only be three small parts in my project that started out as kit parts and those will be reworked on the lathe. Their shape happens to be just what I need.
