Good progress on this one so far Tosh and Ezra! A few years back I acquired a Falcon kit and picked up a Haynes Shop Manual for the Falcon. Lots of information in that thing.

I saw a Haynes Shop Manual as well.  Those are awesome.  I rebuilt a Mercury straight six from a Haynes.  Thank you for the support.

I've always had trouble breaking up large painted surfaces. You make it look so easy, Toshi.

Looking good. Yes

Thank you Greg.  I learned everything from members like you.  Thank you for your support.

Oh, very cool! The pre-shading really turned out nice. SW always look better a little dirty and dinged up!

Thank you Gamera.  I took what I learned from all members builds.  Still learning.

Yeah, never noticed it till a friend was talking about it. He had some kit that had an option to build either the original or the 'ESB' version.

Nice work there masking off the windows. Forgot just how many the Falcon actually had!!

Like I mentioned, I too had no idea until a little research turned up this information regarding the Falcons tricycle landing gear.  Thank you Gamera for your support and kind words on my canopy/cannon masking.   This is all thanks to Members like you of whom supported me in my WWII aircraft builds.

Looks really cool!

I have no idea how many landing gear the Falcon has. Never noticed. Now if it were the Enterprise I'd fill you in on pointless useless trival details till your ears bleed. Stick out tongue

Still she's cool no matter how many landing legs she has.

I never noticed myself.  My younger brother had a Kenner Falcon with three landing gears so I never looked into it.  Until I saw “The Force Awakens” in where the derelict Falcon gets stolen by Ren and FN off of Jakku.  At one point the Falcon can be clearly seen with seven landing gears trying to take off sideways while scrapping the ground.  I also watched the Falcon land on Cloud City on “Empire Strikes Back”.  It also clearly shows seven landing gears.

To verify this, I googled Millennium Falcon Landing gears.  And seven was what I saw except in “A New Hope” In which there were three.  I learn something new everyday.  Lol!

Why do I have 3 landing gears and in other Star Wars movie the Falcon has 7?  Including the Bandai Falcon.

Correct me if I’m wrong but accordingly before “A New Hope”, during Han Solos famous 12 parcep Kessel run, he damaged several landing gears and never got them repaired till the “Empire Strikes Back” episode.  Or so I’ve read.

Still it is a very cool kit with 7 or 3 landing gears.  I also remember my younger brother had a very large Kenner Falcon toy that was also a cut-away.

Some lines highlighted in black Testors Gloss enamel.  Weathering to be done a little later with a light gray/white base coat.  Fueselauge is dry fitted and  assembled, only the landing gear is cemented.

Glad to see you and Ezra are keeping the glue flowing.

Tosh
The last time I built Sci-Fi was when I was a very young boy. I built AMT’s R2-D2, C-3PO, X-Wing Fighter, Tie-Fighter, Darth Vader’s Tie-Fighter, and a sleuth of Battlestar Galactica kits.  That definately was a long long time ago.

I remember building the MPC R2-D2 kit, as well as some of the Battle Star kit's.

I will be looking in on you two from time to time, you will have Ezra building stuf on his own  before you know it ! ( They grow up so fast ....)

I try to spend as much time and occupy his mind as much as possible.  They definately do grow up too quick.  Thank you for your continued support.

Edwin

Woohoo! Millenium Falcon, my absolute favorite!

I remember having the MPC/AMT Falcon back in the 90’s. Never got it finished, life got in the way Sad

Looking forward to your build, Mr Toshi!

The Falcon is my and Ezra’s number one favorite as well.  Thank you for your support!
