You did a good job on that one.  I would have had a different look to it but you did good.  I once considered a carrier but decided not to.  I still have a couiple more battleships and battlecruisers to do After I finish my Seaquest.

That is cool! The paint job is as wild as the concept. Nice job. Now your spares box is empty and you're out of filler lol

Thanks,

John

Can definitely use some turrets on the carrier when I start that one.

Here the MO is with some red on her. Now that it's on I like it so I'll add some more.

I was thinking of copper for the wing pods, engines nozzels, antennas and hull vents.

Well, after some more work, I think I'm finally done adding and buttoned her up. Guns on, as well as the antennas. I think I'm going to paint her black and red with the black having a star field. The "camo" will be a MS 32 18D pattern like North Carolina using the black and red. I'm not sure I'll paint any red on the superstructure but I'll see how dark it is. Anyway, her she is just finished, then with the black.

Thanks SD

Some more work on the MO last night. I decided to make the forward blisters nutron pulse guns and the bow barrel a sonic wave gun. Of course sanding and filling is in order.

Hopefully a lot less spart parts.

I'm thinking of converting the forward blisters into gun pods. Make hole, insert tube, sand tube even with pod, bingo, some sort of fusion pulse phaser or heavy sonic cannon.

Cool.  That's some serious frankenstiening action.  You wont have any filler and sand paper left when you're done!

Thanks,

John

Started on the superstructure on guns. The guns are not glued yet and I want to do a lot more to the super.

lowfly

This is awesome. I too started this kit. What a huge disappointment the actual kit is.  I guess you get what you pay for ($10) I am gonna build mine as a technique practice  / Paint mule but you took it a lot further and it looks awesome!

It's a pig of a kit, nothing fits, flashing everywhere, extreamly poor detail, just right for kitbashing Big Smile

I built it as a kid and spent hours "sailing" it in the grass with the Arizona and Bismarck predending sea battles. Of course I didn't see it as the total disaster it is, it was a super fun toy, and that's what it was designed for.

I'm building the superstructure when something else is drying. What a mess, but I have ideas on how to deal and add to it. Lots of filler. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the 5" mounts yet.Huh?

Willy,

I was looking into using the missle caps off my Ohio boomer as the old fasion ray gun look but not really sold on the idea. I'll keep looking through the boxs for something but I may end up with the cone idea.

Lookin good Steve. Maybe you could try semi-spikey muzzle brake, and tapered barrels...

Thanks sickdude,

I had some time to work on the SBMO. The engine nozzles are complete and now working on the "pods" on the wings and tail. Using drop tanks of course. I'm also thinking of ways to make the gun barrels more  futuristic.
