That is the best season finale/cliffhanger that I have seen for any show. I'm glad that Sci-Fi is bringing the show back in july and not waiting until the fall. Please, please somebody release some kits!!!!

To quote Starbuck -

"oh"

"my "

"god."

Wow!! [wow] Wow!! [wow] Wow!! [wow]

I just finished watching the two-part season finale.

I can't really say anything without blowing it for some of you - especially our mate in Oz!

Just hold on to your hats!

There has never been a SciFi finale to compare with this one.
It will wig you out on so many levels.

All I can say is that I am VERY glad that I will only have to wait until July
to see what comes next.

P.S. I agree. The finding of Tigh's wife I could have done without.

Actually alenam,
I beleive the Cylons have already been to/found earth. The human Cylons may have been influenced by Earth. look at their religion. Also that human Cylon told the President that when they find Kobol they will find out how to get to earth. If he Knew that much then of couse so should the other Cylons. Also the as of Last week the Cylons arrived at Kobol soon after the Colonials (Boomer) found it. Of course boomer may have "subconsciously " some how told Cylons. i beleive that Boomer already knew the location on a subconscious level considering she was the pilot who found it and recognized IMMEDIATELY Kobol for what it was. How would she recognize it unless they (the Cylon) had already been there...

no it wasn't AMT that held the rights for BattleStar Galactica it was Monogram that had the rights. AMT held the rights for Star Wars and Star Trek.

Does anyone else have the feeling that it's going to turn out the humans of the Thirteen Colonies are to the Gods of Kobol as Cylons are to the humans of the Thirteen Colonies?

Also, does the license holder (was it AMT?) for model kits from the original series retain the rights to produce kits from the new series, even though the designs, though similar, are different from those in TOS?

The only complaint I had about the mini-series was that they didn't show the destruction of any of the other Battle Stars esp the Atlantia. But they have got to bring back the Pegasa and Commander Cain! Thing is I can't imagine a bigger hard nose than Adama! Basicly this new Adama is a Commander Cain. It's like they took the original Adama and split his personality up between the President, the Religions Leader Chick, and Adama and magnified the aspects in each. Which I have no complaint with. But more than a couple of episodes have been modified versions of classic eps and I am sure the Return Of Commander Cain will HAVE to be done!

I've loved everything about the new series, with the exception of the attempted humor. The episode which introduced the XO's wife nearly killed it for me... the dinner party scene was cliche'd, clumsy and painful to watch. However, I love the direction they are heading with the Cylon "faith" and emerging emotions of the human replicants. (and no, my choice of the word "replicant" is no accident)

I had lukewarm feelings about the new BSG when I first watched the miniseries. However when Sci-Fi replayed the miniseries along with the first regular season episode I started to really like the series. I would like to see the Pegasus again and can't wait to buy some kits. I would love to build a Cylon Raider and a Basestar.

So many possiblities there.

Wouldn't that be something! I hope they do bring him back and keep him for more than one episode. Or maybe if they get seperated again, then they meet up with him periodically. Two battlestars! That would be awesome!

I love this series and i don't think i'll be disappointed even if all the humans die. You are right the dialog is the key. In fact i would be willing to bet the Cylons have already found Earth (my reasons for thinking this is another thread in and of itself).
But still as for Starbuck piloting an a ship that had an "integrated pilot" I find VERY far fetched. Not to mention since we saw her remove the "brain", then how are they able to study it in the hanger bay stating that it has to be treated like a "pet". Starbuck took the freakin' "brain" out!lol
Anyways I agree that have no idea where this story is going but like someone else said above i too am along for the ride!

I'm also in Australia and loving the show (only up to about episode 3 or 4 so far). Definitely the best Sci-Fi series I've watched.

As far as the song goes Cairnsy, I don't know if anyone else apart from us in Australia will know what you are talking about, as the song is not part of the Battlestar series, it's just a song for Promotional purposes that channel 10 has used for the show. You'll notice that the song has never actually been used in an episode at any time, it only appears on the ads for Battlestar and the previews of the following weeks episodes.

Anyway, the song is "Spaceman" by Babylon Zoo, it's about 10 years old. It was released as a single, so you may be able to order it in. But I'm sure you could find it on the net as well.

Good Luck.

Adam.

I think that the Baltar character is one of the best and hardest one to do, you know hes not insane and yet theres this voice in his head and the way the female cylon starts his motor running and then they switch back and hes you know what to himself is just hilarious!

The Sci-Fi channel has a total WINNER on it's hands. I have seen every episode and will catch every one to come. I am a sci-fi fan and can almost accept the loss of a first run StarTrek on the tube as long as I have Galactica-It is interesting to listen to Baltar's inner shape, er, voice-yes, that's it, voice, describe the Cylon philosophy about one god who loves-as opposed to the "humans" who are pantheistic (Greek and Roman, actually0.
I am not sure where the series is going but I will gladly go along for the ride.
Let's hope a real model company gets the rights to make the kits (NOT AMT PLEASE!)
The viper is really sleek but those new Cylon attackers are fab.

those weren't TV movies those were a couple episode from the even shorter lived Galactica 1980 (supposed continuation of the BattleStar Galactica series)

I cannot remember a science fiction TV show where I have seen such good acting. Some of the acting is a little "overacted", but there is at least range of emotion, interpretation of character, and character development. The only person who needs some drama school triage is the lady who plays Boomer, for in my view she does not seem herself to believe the words that she is saying. Mr. Olmos and Mrs. McDonnel really make the show for me.

Madmike,

I think the original BG was cancelled because it was too expensive to make. The ratings were actually pretty good.

the original BSG was cancelled due to poor ratings. Even the stupid Galactica80 did not save it...
