Your work on this model is breathtaking! I have always had a special place in my heart for the
Constitution class starship Enterprise and its really great to see you doing this model justice!

Cannot wait to lay eyes on the finished product! Keep it up!

Thanks guys.. Well as for the masks, Mikeym is right.. they do sell them somewhere. But rather than spend the money, and then sit and wait for them to arrive to me here in Japan, it just seemed quicker to do them myself.. Kinda hard and boring for a few hours. But a great substitute anyway.. If I could just go to my local hobby shop and buy the templates. Then my wallet would slap me on the way out of the pocket..

Looks cool man, real cool, mine is still under my desk in work, yes in work, I'm afraid of it, but I have the Bandai ones to stop me from whining.

Again cool and lookinggood,

Hi Chris, I have just joined this topic and have the Polar Lights refit in my stash - I saw it in my local hobby shop, and my wallet was out faster than Chekov could fire a photon torpedoSmile [:)]

One thing had put me off was the painting - having concentrated on aircraft and ships they don't do asdecing, but the way you describe it has been inspirational.  Is it possible to buy the masks seperately?

Such a sweet price.... alas, I'm of the idea of building the whole class, and that [obviously] would cost a pretty penny [about 15 ships]..... Since I was a kid, I always wanted to build a whole class ever since I got the original Enterprise model [with all the names and numbers of the class].

The roof?? It's bigger then the house I think.  It's nearly twice as long as the 60' chicken house.  I wonder how big K-7 or Vanguard would be.  They would go more with the older period.

That link is a definate possiblity.  I was hoping HobbyLobby would get it but... I got the NX there, and the D-7, and the Scorpian... I want to have the fleet on the ceiling somewhere.  My bedroom is 14' x 16' or so good bit to work with. Maybe I could expand into the hall.  I'm the only one upstairs other then the extra bedroom. I've got a Maquis Raider I started forever ago that I'm hoping will turn out decent with a lot of work.  I filled no seams or anything back then.

Well, what a laugh!.. I was going through a search, and came up with this old thread!..

The sad thing is, my progress on the refit hasnt moved since my last picture post.. Sad I know, but I had a few things get in the way, and the old girl got left for another time.. Now I am half wanting to re-start it, but half kinda cant get motivated!..

Also, Ed, if you stop on in. How did you go about getting your Refit, and have you started it yet mate? Long time since we chatted, Kinda missed it actually..

Cheers, Chris

My "workbench" is one end of our table. The wife tolerates it because she'd rather have me home. I wish I had another spot. It really sucks at dinnertime.

SSM is stocking a 1400th scale space dock. Don't know where I'd put it. Maybe the kitchen table.......Whistling [:-^]
