Well I like to model every subject, and have done so over the years.. I especially love Japanese war history, and with a Japanese father in-law that loves the subject also, I have an endless supply of history and information.. He is like a little kid when I build something new.. And with the research I do for some of my builds, he just loves to join in himself...I plan on taking some decent pics of those aircraft, as when I built them last year, I didnt have my new camera..

its too bad the planes in the pic arent in the same scale as the yamato.. besides looking really good themselves, they really compliment the ship!

Thanks Dwight Ta-ala... Thanks for checking it out!..

Hey Jerry, I know the feeling.. I have a room with unbuilt model's just waiting for me to get started, but I always seem to buy something new.. Can't help myself..

The Yamato has found a home until I get its clear case..

Wow,that looks great!I can't believe you finished builiding it already.Mine's been sitting in the closet for over 5 years. If I could build half as fast as you can I might be able to put clothes in the closet LOL!

I also checked out the Starfighter you built and that looks really cool too with the custom pilot in there. If I could figure out how to post a pic here,I'll post a pic of my Phoenix model(unbuilt in the box).

Great job. I remember the series very well. Looks like it is ready to fire its wave motion gun.

Thanks fokker, appreciate it!

Capt: My next build will be either my 1/60 Zeta Gundam, or I will start on my AMT USS Reliant?  I am just having a rest from this bad boy for the momment..

I have also just bought a new airbrush, so I will be looking forward to playing with it on the next build, what ever it is...

jeez chris, that is looking too good! can you pm me? i will reply with my address so you can ship it right to my display stand here? lol hehehe jk.

this is seriously a GREAT build up dude!! having followed the forum, i know you had a blast putting this kit together! which makes it even better eh?

and now? back to the store with wife and daughter and see what jumps into your arms this time? (please dont finish the f15... ;-P or even better, actually DO pick it up, would like to see mine in the same paint scheme.. maybe we can create a worldwide squadron with custom decals? something like the FSM tactical fighter squadron? let me know what ya think..)

do you ever show your models to your students? recon they would love them! and oh yeah! you never mentioned you were the one who had yoda in his class.. you could have done a better job there chris! i can still hear him say:

failed again i have eh? understand i do not.. studied hard i have! ;-P

again, the model is an eye-catcher, i allready looked at the pics for hours. whish i could see it with my own eyes!

nice1 !!

UPDATE: SOLD...Finally Finished!! Star Blazers 1/500 YAMATO....
Posted by Chris_in_Japan on Monday, July 17, 2006 2:46 AM
Well after a solid work out, I have finished my latest build.. For those of you that dont know, check here at the build up of this kit.. It's the Star Blazers 1/500 Space Cruiser YAMATO from the anime series here in Japan..
http://www.finescale.com/FSM/CS/forums/646665/ShowPost.aspx

I did the final touches to it this afternoon, and am happy with the result.. I am by no means an expert of Star Blazer's, so if the ship has mistakes, then by all means let me know.. Otherwise, all I can say, is that it was probably the most enjoyable build I have had in a long time.. Alot of fun!..

So here are the pics, please enjoy!
