Wow, that's a ton of detail. Although I noticed a typo, you seem to have included an extra 0 when giving us the scale of the ship.

That's a lot of photo etch also, it should paint up just like the real thing with a little attention to detail. Nice work.

Hi Eric! Don't have anything major to show this week, have been working on the rear deck, which looks alot like the foredeck... so I stuck the major subassemblies together for a couple of update pics like you asked for. The subassemblies are just laying in place, not glued or fully fitted, but I wanted to get an idea of how much work I had left  - 3 decks of railings, 3 planes, 6 utility boats, two major cranes...there's still a ways to go I guess. But heres a couple of pics of the peices (sort of) in place ;) Thanks for your interest! -Tim

 Wow! Wow and more Wow!

Did the anchor chain come with the kit? If not what did you use for the chain (size etc). I really love this build!

Firedeck

Don't have anything major to show this week,

I hope that is a joke right?
Everything you do looks MAAAYOR to me!
I can barely put some PE on an fighter airplane!

Really, magnificent build!
I have a question though, I wonder what is the best way to put railings on a boat,
would you like to show me sometime?

With regards, Ninetalis.

Also a quick question to the ship enthusiasts here: those AA guns on top of the main turret, would those be used if the main turret guns were being fired? i would think that the concussion from the big guns would not allow that. just curious!

Regards, Logan.

Absolutely amazing work!  You have me wondering though about the painting sequence.  I assume the deck is finished  yet there is a lot of PE detail on it that has not been painted.  Could you tell us a little more about how these details are painted?

Thanks, Bill

Your build is a true inspiration as well as a how to guide for any Nagato fan.  The painted model against the unpainted PE set really shows us where and how to place the many parts of this set.  I would like to thank you for your work and allowing us the opportunity to learn from your efforts.  Thanks!
