Pyro/Life-Like (now Lindberg) HMAV Bounty

Normally, if I was going to build this model to waterline, then yes, there'd be weathering. However, I also prefer the way many museum models look as well; pristine to a fault. Have not quite decided what direction I'm going to go here yet.

But don't get me wrong, back when I built a number of models for the local maritime museum (as well as for my own collection), and they were displayed, by golly, I beat the heck out of them. One of my favourite models was of the topsail schooner Union, in 1/32" = 1' (1/384 scale). This little ship (measuring less than 3 inches in length) was a wonderful little vessel to build. I displayed her in a chop with storm sails up. The sails, done in a brownish colour, were patched and a little worn; all that in 1/384.

Oh yes, I can weather. Just not sure if I want to do so here.

I've been too busy with other projects of late. Hopefully, this week I'll finish the hull and the ship's launch (which is another model in and of itself; it looks fairly nice) and move on to the masts.
