Once the hull is almost done, let's assemble the bridge. The "base" is done. Time to add the mast and a lot of details.

Nice etchwork A.M., good to see the comparison with the kit parts, shows off the GMM brass a treat!

Follow the assembly of the Command Bridge. The fit of this kit is much worse than I bought twelve years ago.

This is something" near to non manipulate " antenna. Extremely small.

The bridge of fire hose. Too small, too.

Details of the mast. Antennas and more antennas...

Have you thought about the cleaning lady looking for all these little antennas? It must gives her a temptation ...

I"ve been looking at my brass kit from WEM, it looks very similar to the GMM set so watching your build has given me plenty to plan ahead with! As always, nice work A.M., won't be long before your doing the airwing! Jock

Hi A.M., this might be too late for you, but I have recently bought a disc from White Ensign Models covering the Big E from 1961-2011. It's by a chap called Ray D.Bean and it is packed with over 750 pictures of the Enterprise, Hangar bay, Equipment and Airwings. It cost me £14 uk, I reckon that's about $20 us. Well worth the money and I'm glad I got it before I fully start my build.

Regards,

Jockster.

Awesome work bro!

We are almost at the same stage in our builds.  This kit and I have a love/hate relationship.]

I would be nervous handling the island with all that photoetch! I'd be afraid of damaging such a nice job!

You won't be dissapointed Bill, everything from the hangar to the yards, aircraft to anchors whether you are building 60's 70's 80's 90's or her final cruise! It's as if you wrote a list of pictures to take and he went out and took them!

I normally prefer a reference book, but I took a chance on buying it, I like the way you can zoom in on areas without a magnifying glass.

Jorge if you can find it online 2lb test Ice fishing line makes the best rigging material than stretched sprue. Now on the other hand streched sprue does make the best antennas other than piano wire.

Hi guys, time is very short for me now.

Still missing a few more details, but I decided to start the airwing.

I intend to do twelve Tomcats and Corsairs in two different squadrons and three aircraft of the others in a single squadron. This will keep the proportion of the original airwing eleven. These had already been made by me almost three years ago:

Time to do design airwing decals. I also will use some original decals.

First squadron: 6 x F-14 Aaardvarks

Decals are a little supersized. And some minor details.

Now it is better...
