Firedeck

Patience and decaf coffee!  Smile Actually, in looking at that last pic, I did a terrible job on 2 of those portholes (attachment stub is visable and 2 are out of vertical) ...they will be replaced. Thanks for asking and for following my build TD4438! -Tim

Keep up the superb work, I was on the forum at school, looking at this, my computer-neighbour accidentally saw the pic's, his jaw LITERALLY fell till the desk below it...
Btw, is that a real wooden deck?

Keep up the good work!

Regards Ninetalis.

Firedeck

lol! ... at various stages I would have pulled out one of Patton's pearl handled revolvers and blasted this thing to back to Ardien if I had one sitting here and loaded! Cursing, regret, headaches and eyestrain are part of the fun...no?

Thanks for your comments, I appreciate them. -Tim

Doing anything that well ain't easy, but boy is it ever worth it!!! That radar antenna is a masterpiece in itself.

TD4438

Fantastic.I gotta ask,has this build been accompanied by language that would make General Patton's ears burn?

tigerman

if I recall right, your Yamato didn't win Gold in ships, but won the overall best in show. Still scratching my head on that one.

Hi Tigerman. Yeah, to clear it up, my Yammie was 2nd in ships but won "people's choice" best in show. The people know best.....Democracy in Action! ....right?????  hehe :)

Hi guys! Another small update, deck 9 of superstructure:

Type 13 radar:

Thanks for viewing and I wanted to ask... am I making too many small posts (...with too many pics of the same thing) or should I condense the build log a little bit and post fewer pics with more progress in each one? Thanks again for viewing and comments and suggestions are welcome.  -Tim

Hi guys and thanks for your comments! Not much new, but got decks 7 and 8 on the superstructure done:

deck 7 assembled and installed on superstructure

deck 8: those japs were big on binoculars :)

*edit* well, just noticed in the pic...there are two distinct ejector marks on the outside binocular deck, hmmm...guess nothing a couple of ammo boxes won't hide, but despite the small flaws (and the one big one of course, the hull lines) the kit fits together wonderfully so far

Thanks for viewing! -Tim

bsyamato

you glued already these pieces? which's the order you will use for paint all these stuffs?

Hi bsyamato and yes, normally I would paint in a different order than I am for this Nagato. I am doing something different for this build ... so  we'll see how it turns out.  WinkThanks for your nice words and comments!    -Tim
