Well, yesterday I apply a little more of the white putty, I'll sand today and see how it turns out, if it doesn't turn out right I'll perform the surgery and pull it apart, thank you all for your tips.

I have the feeling that glue will not hold, should I still try with this or change the glue to something else?

As long as you are gluing plastic to plastic, it will work!

EdGrune

Add alignment & reinforcement tabs made of strip styrene.

If you do not have access to Evergreen brand sheet & strip stock,  check the local Lowes/Home Depot.   Pick up some OPEN/Garage Sale/No Tresspassing signs.   The ones I get are 30 thousands,  8.5x11 inches and about 2 bucks per.

I second the reinforcing styrene behind the seam.  And since you are going to be putting on a lot of putty, consider auto body glazing (spot) putty- much cheaper than hobby putty but virtually the same stuff.  For thicker coat, build up as a series of thinner layers.  That kind of putty bonds well to styrene, so you shouldn't have any adhesion problems.

wow you're going for the big bang my good EdGrune, that is mayor surgery, but lets say I'll do that, as a glue I am using right now the Model Master Liquid Cement, after I brake it apart, I have the feeling that glue will not hold, should I still try with this or change the glue to something else?

I do agree it's not a race and I am not running, I do one to have a fine finish model.

You did dry fit it together to chack alignment and fit before you applied cement didn't you?   If the parts dont fit well before applying the glue -- they won't fit any better after the glue is applied.   I see left and right hull halves which don't align fore and aft and the top of the bow has a crown where it should be flat.    Not to mention the big-ole gap.

You can try a big glob of putty,   but I think I'd break out the razor saw.  Start over, cut it apart,  sand and dry fit the pieces together, shimming where necessary to close gaps.   Only when you are satisfied with the fit commit to glue.   Then apply the glue in shorter lengths of the run.   Adjust the fit as you go.

Its not a race -- its a process

Hello my experience modelers, I have a building question, I encounter a little flaw at the bow, any ideas on how to make it smooth and good looking? I am using White Putty but for some reason I can't get it right, any help will be appreciated.
