Hello Don!

It's like a battleship that has been sick when it was young and it didn't grow, right? :D

I like the look s of that warship - good luck with your build and have a nice day

Monitor HMS Roberts

I have put aside my WW1 torpedo boat for awhile to do a kit.  The last monitor, the HMS Roberts, is a great Trumpeter kit (1:350).  This relatively inexpensive kit is loaded with PE and lots of parts!  However, it is a bit of a challenge.  Some of the parts, while exquisitely molded, are super tiny, and the PE frets are only 3 mil thick, with super narrow features. If you look at them cross-eyed the parts bend and distort!  Still, it looks like it will be a great model when done.  Sort of a bulldog look, lots of power in a small package.

Have the hull complete and painted, with the deck in place.  Working on superstructure and little detail subassemblies now.

Lots and lots of AA guns bristling all over this thing, each gun emplacement several styrene parts and multiple pieces of PE!
