Greg-

I noticed some bottles were different.  As long as the paint is the same no problem.

PlasticJunkie is a good guy, he deserves a commision.

Oh, and yet another thought, based on an older review of the MRP lacquers I saw somewhere, I expected them to have an agitator ball in the bottle. They don't.

They also have an acrylic line, BTW. I am liking them so far too.

Not at all. If a thread I start results in a conversation, that makes me happy.

Feel free to hijack my threads anytime.

Was wondering about the acrylics, I'll have to look up a review on them.

Greg, ( anyone notice with covid around you tend to do a lot of sitting around lol ) I watched a review of different decal setting solutions the other day. The guy had some wings painted half with AK lacquer and the other half with MRP lacquer. And he conducted a test with maybe five solvent type decal setting solutions on bare paint and on two different clear coats over the paint. The MRP did great even with Solvaset over bare paint ( realnice like why bother clear coating, I wouldn't bother honestly from what I saw anyway). The AK didn't fare as well even with clear on it. My memory is already fading on exactly what he was trying to occomplish but my take away was if I'm doing up a model that will have extensive decals and painting in lacquer I'd want the MRP results. Very informative but if the guy did half the gabbing he does his videos would show the same result in 1/4 the time. He likes to talk. The video took and hour !!

I just remembered the other MRP US distributor somebody mentioned and thought I'd mention them out of fairness.

I notice a couple of us in this thread seem to be loyal to Sprue Bros, but I gotta say that Hobbyworld appears to have the best overall paint selection from various mfgs I've seen anywhere, and I have heard more than one very positive comment about them.

OMG-

Yep, clear on too much sitting around due to Covid. Interesting info on MRP lacquers vs decal setting solutions. I turn most youtube vids off within 45 secs before I fall asleep, so thanks for the synopsis.

Phil Flory has reviews of both MRP lacquers and acrylics on youtube, by the way. His stuff gets long but gets a pass from me just because.

I recommend Flory sometimes, he gets most of it right. He does his work for a living too. I've heard a blooper or two though, it's ok non of us is perfect and he has a ton of good knowledge.
