Duke, you and saltydog have raised the bar to a new standard.Big Smile [:D] Even I've never managed to lose an ENTIRE KIT BOX! And I'm great at misplacing tools and equipment--a slightly different category than losing parts because they flew off the tweezers into the carpet.

By the way, Duke, what part of Los Angeles are you in? I was born in Glendora, raised in La Canada Flintridge, then after seven years of living in Hawaii, lived nearly 18 years in Van Nuys before moving to Arizona a few months ago.

I live in Rowland Heights CA, just south of Glendora thereabouts. I managed an El Pollo Loco restaurant in La Canada Flintridge back in 1997(?) for about a year or so. My model club is in Buena Park and the best LHS I know right now is on Hacianda Blvd in Glendora. Man, too bad you're way out in Arid-zona now! Maybe if you have time off in October, you can come to our regional contest called Orangecon. I'll most likely be at the hospitality table that day. It would be nice to see you there.

OK, now I feel so sorry for these two guys that I MUST do something. I hereby agree to buy Chris a whole new kit just so he can get enough parts out of it to finish his bird and get closure on this situation. I ... I .... I just feel that I must DO something to ease my friend's pain Disapprove [V]

I've been to that El Pollo Loco a few times; on Foothill Blvd. a bit east of Ocean View Blvd. Small world!

We probably have met at IPMS Orange County a number of times as I used to attend those meetings until I moved to Arizona. I'm the one that's building the tornado chase vehicle with Tamiya's Jeep Cherokee; I brought it in to one meeting (partially built) a few months before moving to Arizona. I've been to Orangecon a couple of times too, and Tamiyacon once. Are you coming to Phoenix in August? I'm going to try to get to that, especially because it's maybe a fifteen minute drive from my house.
