Hi guys
Guess I'm the one with the lowest number of ABs - ONE
, a Badger 150 and I must've worked it to death
coz the part on the shell which holds the valve casing just came loose [:0]. The logical thing to do is to send it back to the manufacturer for repair but their shipping is very high inspite of the 40% discount offered on merchadise including new ABs ( I had my sights set on the 155
). Admittedly I'm from 'far away' Malaysia
, yet the USPS shipping by air I paid the US eBay seller for the 150 is much, much, less. This leaves me with the alternative of reattaching this piece myself. I tried soldering but the stuff just slides off. Next I tried Selly's Metallic Cement on the inside and out but that didn't work either
. I'll be getting a made in Taiwan double action AB from a local art supply store so's I can get my projects going again but I still have hope that my favorite Badger can be repaired. Anyone care to offer suggestions to help me out ? I just came back to the hobby after more than 20 years and am on a budget. Thanks in advance and you guys are interesting that's why I keep coming back here.
Warmest regards
Patrick
