Sometime back, I asked all which airbrush to buy and received many resposes. Well, I bought a Badger 155 and a campbell compressor. Took it out, thinned some paint and it worked like a charm. Appears to be a well made piece of equipment.
Painted my first plane with it too. AMT P-40 that i had ready to go when the airbrush arrived. Uses vallejo sand and earth and mm camo gray. All in all it went pretty well and looks good (imo) for the first time out.
Problems i had...include: paint did not adhere the plastic well, orange peeled slightly (seemed to smooth out after drying) and paint pulled from the plastic when masking tape was removed...in small spots. The mm paint performed better than the vallejo....at least it seemed to...all things being equal.
I should have tried something simpler than camo for my first airbrush plane but i really was excited and wanted to see how it would do.
I touched it up with a brush, applied decals and moved on...I am pleased with it...
Thanks to reading the cleaning tips and advice here, the 155 should actually work again next time i try to use it. The choice of double action over single appears also to be the right one (although i have never used a single). The ability to control air and paint flow independently seems to be crucial.
Thanks for all the advice from those who answered my earlier posts.
