i use good ol' krazy glue for my plastic kits. i've never ahd any problem with it and its very inexpensive. i just make sure to never use it on clear parts because it fogs it up with this white residue so i just use elmers for that.

I like Tenax myself, I use it for gluing or softetning rough edges or just after heavy grit sanding a couple of passes with a paintbrush loaded with tenax and a quick sand with some fine paper and seam gone with low to no putty use.
