I've been a reader of FSM for years. So I guess its time I plugged in to the community!
I'm a lifelong aviation and history nerd, and been building models on and off for 40 years. Right now it's mostly on! I've been an Air Traffic Controller for almost 30 years, and now, as I'm approaching retirement I hope I'll be able to make some real progress on my unbuilt model stash.
When I look at the quality of builds around here I know I'm still pretty crude in my efforts. But I enjoy the hobby, and I love history.
Welcome aboard, we welcome modellers of all levels here so dive in and enjoy.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Welcome to the Forum, Dave!
Thanks guys!
Maybe I should add I'm a 1/48th guy. I do all WWII, mostly aircraft, some armor and vehicles.

Hi Dave,
All you need here is a love for the hobby.
Welcome.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Still waiting for a 1/48 Tamiya Type 97 Chi Ha!
Yeah, good luck on that wait. I think there are around 4 or 5 Japanese armor subjects you can get.
Given the number of unbuilt kits I have, its probably just as well that I wait.
atcDave Maybe I should add I'm a 1/48th guy. I do all WWII, mostly aircraft, some armor and vehicles.
That's ok, there room for all scale here, even the odd 48th kit
Hah, yeah, I'm sure I'm the first!
Welcome to the Forums Dave! Glad to have you aboard!

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
Is it appropriate to mention that my work is posted at planedave.net?
