Welcome JP,

Don't feel alone. Some of the guys here really put me to shame. Sometimes I think that a build isn't nearly good enough to post, but that's what this forum is for. Everybody here is supportive and complementary, no mater what you may think of your build.

Jump in and have fun.

Probably the most important forum for you is the Aircraft forum, but do not overlook those in the Tools, Techniques, and Reference Materials section.  There are some great discussions in those forums about so many operations in building models.

I am new to this site.  Looking forward to using the site to learn and improve my modeling skill.   I am interested in ww2 aircraft models...generally 1:48 scale.   I, like many, want a good quality result.  But, i admit that I am not a perfectionist.  I am amazed at the results many achieve.   There are some real creative and talented modelers around that provide a high standard to target ...though I know I wont get there.  It is fun trying to improve a bit each time out.
