Hello, i am quite new to model building and looking for some online retail stores with good prices where i can buy some starter kits... 

Does any one have exprience with any of them?? Thanks :)

A few stores may have fallen out of favor recently, so ask specifics when ready to buy.

Edit:  FreeTimeHobbies has a hugh "Moving sale" with stuff at 50% off and free shipping on a $50 order. I suspect there's not much inventory left now though.

(They had a 1/48 Revell Stearman PT-17 for 9.99 with free shipping 'cause I also got 2 other items. One was a 1/350 Dreadnought 1915 version for under $40.)

Hobbylinc.com is dependable and if you look at Tamiya 1:48th aircraft they have several inexpensive Japanese ww II aircraft models from13 to 14 dollars that I cut my teeth on. They have a few recessed and some raised panel lines. Low parts count and go together quite well considering the age of the kits. Not to mention the instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. Welcome to the hobby and have fun.

If your interested in older kits, there is a group on the book of friends where you can buy some older stuff.

I concur with all of the above suggestions. Even check a Japanese hobby shops. They may have a long ship time but that will sometimes offset the price. I didn't catch where you're at but if in the states and near a Hobby Lobby, use their 40% coupon for some deals.

Just do some research on the kit and price. Most kits have a review or more somewhere on the net. After 54 years, I've built 100 kits, if I remember correctly,..... no, it was 200.

    Third for Scalehobbyist and add Sprue Brothers, excellent selection and service.

    If your really New to the hobby look for some of the Recall or Monogram offerings, they have generally a lower parts count and are better priced....something to cut your teeth on so to speak. Manufactures like Trumpeter and SOME Dragon kits are for more advanced modelers however they don't disclose that information. Not that their kits are bad just can be overwhelming for a beginner.

Amazon actually is always worth a look. Sometimes they are more expensive, other times competitive if you are a Prime member.

eBay is of course always worth a look.

Watch for "coming soon", "pre-order", etc. Those are usually at best wishful thinking.

I second scalehobbiest. If you start to narrow your focus in subjects, which most do, you'll start to learn which smaller store specialize dependably in the things you like to build.
