There should be a good sized contingency from our club attending...IPMS-Steve Wittman, Oshkosh...which includes me.

Not sure if I'll be going now, as I have to work both days.  Too bad really, as I work about 5 blocks away. Disapprove [V]

I'm pretty stoked. I've been saving my allowance(yes, I'm 41 years old and get an allowance). One last chance to add to the stash before I'm forced to start building the kits I already have. I'm just hoping the weather doesn't get too bad, not looking forward to driving through a blizzard for 2 hours to get there.

The weather is supposed to be clear and in the high 30's low 40's. That is what I heard this morning.

Jeff-

I am hoping to be there for a bit Friday afternoon, Friday after 7pm, and Saturday after 1pm.  Look for the guy in the dark grey ballcap with "Kesslers Diamonds" on the front. Big Smile [:D]

Gotcha Frank,

I can't make it out Friday but I'll be there around 11ish saturday. I'm about 2 hours south and I plan on hitting the road somewhere between 8 and 9. Since it's such a long drive I plan on sticking around for a few hours at least. See you there.

I won't be able to get there now until Saturday...too many loose ends to tie up before I can go out to play. Sigh [sigh] If I had my drothers I would just fly to someplace tropical, warm and away from work. I am tired of winter!

It was a good show. Would like to have seen the tables full, but the quality level of those on display were great. I'm going to post the pictures I took at the show, not sure where or exactly when but I will get them up.

What an exciting show!  I had the chance to meet some extraordinary people today.  Aaron Skinner, Matthew Usher, Mark Hembree, Gerald Voigt, Jeff (firesmacker), John Vojtech, and numerous others.  Sorry if I forgot to mention your name!  I managed two first place awards, and considering the quality of the work on display there, I am most honored. Nice Gerald. I saw you a few times but you looked pretty busy each time so I didn't want to bother you. I'm not saying you would have brushed me off just that I would have litterally had to leap in front of you to remake your aquiantance.

On a side note, has anyone ever heard of "Gulf Grey"? I was admiring the 1/32 F-16 in the Alaskan camo, or Arctic Camo. I am building the same kit and wanted to do something similar. Me and some old guy were looking at the build and I remarked that I wished that I knew what colors he used, and this bitter old man mumbled what sounded like "Gull Grey". I thought he said "Gull Grey" so I was like "Maybe it's dark gull grey" And he barks at me "NO, GULF GREY!" and walks off mumbling to himself. Jerk.

But, yeah, meeting Frank was really cool even though I looked like a stalker when I was trying to read his hat...And Mike (Recon) Is a really cool guy too. Wish I wasn't so far south of you all.

Gerald- Great photos, thanks! Smile [:)]

Jeff-

Sorry about that!  I was wondering why somebody was standing there staring at me! Blush [:I]  Sure am glad I decided not to call security. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

I remember that F-16, and talked to the owner a couple of times.  I have never heard of "Gulf Gray", but the color on that jet is "Dark Gull Gray".  It is FS36231, which testors has- #1740. Tamiya XF-54 and Gunze H57 are also pretty close.  HTH!
