I'm with everyone here in that my prayers are with you for a speedy recovery.  I hope that time flies by fast for you so that this all will be nothing but a distant memory.

In the mean time, you might want to take it easy with the modeling.  No 1/32 aircraft or 1/72 B-36s.  Start off small like with 1/144 kits.  That way you don't strain yourself.  Now that I think about it, don't they make something like 1/350 airplanes for carrier models?  Maybe start with that and then work your way back up.  LOL!

Best wishes for a complete recovery and keep your spirits up!

Hope you're feeling better soon John.  In the "old days", just opening up a tube of glue would have you feeling better in no time.Wink

A diverticulitis attack is almost unbearable, I cannot imagine the pain associated with a rupture.

May you heal well and feel better soon, John.

Best wishes to you for a speedy recovery, John. It's good to see that your attitude is a positive one - that, in itself, is half the battle. Please do take some time to work at the bench because it's a wonderful therapy which will help to keep that positive attitude moving forward. You have my prayers!

John, I hope you feel better soon.  I have dealt with individuals who have gone through the same thing and the pain they expressed was unimaginable.  Hopefully you get back to your normal routine soon and can do some relaxing around the bench.

On the Bench:  Lots of unfinished projects!  Smile

You have my prayers John,

Get well and git some rest.

All, I started feeling some pain a week ago last Friday and finally went to the prompt care on Sunday. The pain was in the lower abdomen and was as bad as I have ever felt. They sent me to the ER, and I ended up having emergency surgery for a ruptured diverticulitis. They took out about 6 inches of my colon, and my appendix for good measure. I now have a colostomy bag for about 3 months until another surgery to put Humpty Dumpty together again. I suspect that it started to rupture Friday night and that is why it hurt so bad. Looks like I am going to get some doctor ordered time off and hopefully some bench time. I am feeling better, but prayers for a speedy and complete recovery would be appreciated. Thanks. John
