If you are in San Diego,make it a point to visit the Midway,just outstanding.So many great planes with up close acess.Very well done.It poured rain like no one's business Part of the time,but it did clear up and we made it to the deck.Took close to 100 pictures,here's just one.
That is so cool, Tojo. The Midway is definitely on my bucket list!
I was there about a year and a half ago and had an awesome time! Even my wife, who at first thought it would be boring, enjoyed it and couldnt stop commenting on how cool she thought it was.

Such a grand old girl . I served both on a ship with her group and then on Her .There was a time I found her confusing though . So much more room aboard than a FRAM Destroyer ! I am so glad they saved her . Tanker - Builder
I remember seeing the Midway in Yokohama harbor while TDY in Atsugi many years ago. Even though I was used to seeing the "Big E" and Carl Vincent at NAS Alameda, the Midway still impressed me with her size. She's quite a ship!

A friend of mine from work served on the Midway 71-73, and climbed into EKA-3B #612 then. He is going to do the Trumpeter 1/48 EKA as #612.

spent about 2 hrs on board in the Indian ocean when my carrier USS Eisenhower was along side.I was a helo aircrewman in HM-14 and knew a friend was on board and asked to go visit with him.
