Wow. very nice haul. It was a good Christmas for me too. Got what I asked for and extras. I was gonna ask for  few models, but I was afraid that they would  sit in my stash for years.

That Soleil Royal is an awesome kit, though it will take awhile to build.  I would recommend not trying to build it straight through.  On big sail projects like that I work on them maybe a couple of weeks at a time, then put it back on the shelf while I build a simpler project. I have been working on mine for several years.

Wowzaa, nice haul, your family knows your interests.

Mine got me a $100 gift certificate for my local hobby shop and a new cordless Dremel, my old one was starting to "get headaches" when I wanted to use it. Lasted over 35 years with lots of use, no complaints here.

Happy and safe holidays for all of you.

I got a gift cart for a tour of 3 local breweries Big SmileBeerBeerBeer, can't beat that Big Smile. The organizer says that transportation and entertaiment are included. Transport is a very sensibile thing since sampling is very much part of it and if the entertaiment is half of what I think it is (mind in a gutter Cool) it will be a blast. Toast

Yeah, I love the Soleil Royal and candy, not too excited about undies though!

I ended up just buying myself a few Hawaiian shirts and some goodies from HobbyLink Japan that hopefully I'll get by the end of January.

When I was a kid back in the 1970s, I had a Starship Enterprise I built hanging from my ceiling. It was there for several years until I was about 15 and painting my room. I accidentally whacked it with a ladder and destroyed it. By then, though, girls and punk rock were becoming more important than Star Trek and Dungeons and Dragons. Fast forward almost 40 years to Christmas 2015. My girlfriend got me the 1/350 Polar Lights Enterprise refit version. It's huge. I was totally surprised. I won't whack this one with a ladder.

I received the 1/72 Academy Martin PBM Mariner, 1/144 type VIIC U-boat and $200 in eBay gift cards. You should see my eBay watch list now. I still haven't pinned down anything I want from there. Could be a camera, tools, or PE and modeling supplies. Maybe all of it.

I have a "want list" stuck on the little bulletin board in my workroom that I add to as needed and subtract from as I order stuff.  Well, my wife snuck a peek at it and got me a couple bottles of MM paint, Vallejo plastic putty, and 2 Tamiya Detail Parts sets of fuel drums and jerry cans for an Opel Blitz "S" truck that I am working on.  Good thing I hadn't ordered them yet. These were just so she could have a "little" box to give me.  Oh, found a couple of gift certificates inside the box too.  Every year she does these "little things" that prove why she is a keeper.

My fiancee'/wife haven't bought each other presents in five yeers. There's just nothing we need, and we express our love throughout the year with presents and surprises. We keep CHristmas for the kids of our relaives, but spend no money on each other.

Our little Dachshund made out like a bandit this year though, lol.

My dad gave me $150 cash to spend for Christmas. Now the hard part is figuring out what to spend it on.
