How international is the FSM forum? Where in the world do the members live?
Posted by lonemoose on Friday, January 22, 2016 2:48 PM

I am a newbie and interested in knowing how far across the globe this community stretches. I'm in the US, Maine, to be exact. There are a few of us from the Pine Tree State. I have also noted a member from England and another from Taiwan... and a US expat in Shanghai... I bet most of the forum is in the US and Canada...

What other countries are represented here in our community?

Sibbles

Many Bothans died to bring us this information... I wish it had been Ewoks... but no... it was Bothans...

I've often wondered, myself. Of all the forums that I've been on, they've been dominated by U.S./Canada...UK and Gemany after that...then just a splatter from Africa, Brazil, Malaysia, Italy, Australia/NZ, Japan, France.

I don't recall ever seeing anybody from Eastern Europe...beyond Germany/Belgium. They probably stick to more "native" forums???

Michigan boy, myself.

Utica, NY. A 45 minute drive from Syracuse, NY, an hour drive north to the Adirondacks and Old Forge, 40 minutes south to Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame). Everything is within reach of easy driving from all directions.

I'm in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, in Honolulu.  And no, we don't live in grass shacks, commute in outrigger canoes, or use puka shells for money, no matter what the locals tell you!  Wink. Funny thing is I have been asked those questions several times!

Do you know of any other FSM members in the Aloha state?

I do not personally know anyone else from over here, but I seem to recall seeing about two guys on the forum that reside somewhere in the state.  I think one guy attends the local IPMS meetings, but I don't regularly go and we have had a lot of new guys join in the last few years.
