Hello Everyone
Posted by Hunter on Saturday, August 19, 2017 4:47 PM

Hello gentlemen,

It's been awhile since I've been on here. Some of you my recall that Jill and I were going to have a baby. Sadly after carrying the baby for five and a half months we lost her. Jill and I are still working on getting back to the "norm" of things. She has been pushing me to get back to the bench and you guys for some time now. She thought it might help me deal with our lose. Man, the past couple years have not been good for the Anderson family when it comes to staying alive.

Enough of that. To the GB's I signed up for. I am sorry I was not able to participate and be apart of them. I will be starting on each one of them very soon and will post them as I go. It's great to be back and see a lot of new faces and all of those I already know. I hope that ALL of you have been well and been able to be at the bench as much as possible.

To those individuals that sent me PM's thank you very much. It meant a lot to Jill and I.

Now....It's time to roll up the sleeves and jump back in!!

Armornut,

Thank you for the kind words sir. And your avatar is also cool. Is that your modeling buddy? My dad did a thread on bench buddies and all that responded had great looking bench buddies.

Your welcome, yea I guess she is, she's the only cat in the house who has never even thought of jumping unexpectedly on my work bench. She's a good kitty I enjoy her company....DON'T tell my wife I would never live it down LOL... She's kinda the peace keeper in the house with our other critters. Stay strong Mr. and Mrs. Hunter. Since your in Montana there is a chance our paths may cross face to face. We're here for ya.

Hi, Hunter -

Life has not been very kind to you, in the past few years. First Dad, then the baby girl you were both so excited about. I can do nothing more than offer my sincere sympathy and condolences.

Jill is right, do what brings you comfort and enjoyment. Then share your work with us in posts, we always like to see what you've done, or what you are still working on. I hope you will again find the path that brings both of you challenges and joy.

Glad you're back.

Hello Mr. Patrick,

Thank you very much for your words. Jill and I are a strong team and will work through this. I am almost done constructing my work area so I will be posting a WiP in the next 2 weeks of something. Not sure what but it will be a OOB build to get back into it. Jill and I thank you again for your kind words.

Man there ase been a LOT of bad news on the forum lately. I offer you my sincere condolances on your loss and if I can help my PM is always open.

Getting back to the bench can help.... even if you wind up smashing a build into "oblivion" it can help. ( Just make sure to post pictures of the "bits". It could become a fun game for everyone to try to identify parts.) You and your wife ARE stong and you WILL work through this. And in the future if you decide to try again I would LOVE to send your future "little" one a kit to start them out.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

John,

Thank you very much....I know we will find peace with this as you will. It's one of those things you don't forget, but you work at not thinking about so often. Thank you friend

It is hard to deal with a loss that the both of you were so looking forward to....but I know you two will get through it, and hopefully be stronger because of it.  My condolences to you both.  Been a tough year for you, but here's hoping there is light at the end of that dark tunnel.

Model on, and look forward to your builds as you post them.

Hi Hunter, I'm so glad to see you back. Cathy and I were so sorry to hear of your loss. We hope our prayers have helped.

As far as the Submarine Warfare GB, I would still like to see you finish that WW1 sub chaser at some point. I am not hosting any more GBs for a while until my future settles out some.

Take care friend and I'll look forward to your posts.

Steve,

Hello my friend. Jill and I greatly appreciate that you and Cathy prayed for us. We are on our way to healing and look forward to trying again. Now......Know that Jill, myself and everyone in here will be thinking of you, and praying for you as you prepare for your journey to Dallas. Once you get settled there please post your address so we can send you cards, well wishes and if your a good boy at the doctor's office a nice simple kit for you to work on. Hunter;

As an old person , who has lived past two wives and a son  , I have to say this . The first time we experienced this we had been married two years . I got the news while on station in the far east .  Talk about depression ! Uncontrolled anger and the whole bit . Then the totality of Loss set in .

I know where you and Jill are .This may be late in coming . But take it from someone who knows . Your wife needs you more now than ever . The thoughts going through her emotions range from failure to inadequacy . Plus more .

Now you MUST strive together to overcome this deepest loss you've suffered early on .  Modeling will help you . What will help the Missus ? YOU ! No matter what thoughts or emotions you have , remember , She was closer to this beginning Human than you were !

If she's come around to tell you to do it ( Modeling ) then don't waste any time . Then thank Her big time , for thinking of you ! My prayer circle is getting overtime this year . Now know that we as a group and individuals have all had mountains to climb in life . Sooo , We are here for you ! Tanker - Builder

Tank Builder,

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. We have definitely grown stronger as a couple with this loss. Jill finally had enough of me always hanging around making sure she was doing ok(LOL). She is the best thing that has, and will happen in my life. She knows I enjoy being in the forums with you guys, and I believe she hopes it takes my mind off of things.
