Hi, 

None yet.  I've posted on one group build with the intent of taking part, going as far as picking out and buying the models that I will build, but I haven't started yet.  In addition, I have also considered joining one or two others.  But I have a couple ongoing projects that I want to try and finish up first.

Well, I was running in about 3-4 at a time and having a 75% or so completion rate the last few years. This year I joined about 5-6 and so far have defaulted on almost all of them. I'm really going to try to stop joining so many next year. I haven't been modeling as much and what I have been working on is mostly non GB type stuff.

All listed on the bottom of my post and 5 more that I haven't added the badges. Completed all and lagging on one now due to Irma's unwanted visit but almost completed on that one. 

3 started....0 completed. Sorry guys just got PB figured out and they implode, gonna try flikr....if I ever get time to figure it out. I like being part of a group build, kinda make me model, not in a bad way.

I've joined too many and completed not enough... and have lots of partially built kits to prove it. 

But I have been partaking in GBs for probably 10 years on here now, so... some are just too tempting to pass up, but then another one grabs my attention when I lose steam on whatever I'm working on.

Despite the start date under my avatar, I've been here for 10 years. I've probably been in 50, completed the first 25, most of the next 10 and most if not all of the last ones.

One thing that really has made a difference is that about ten years ago, (yes, the crash) I only join GBs when I have a kit in the stash.

Double the motivation there.

Oh I always have the kit in my stash. I've never gone out and bought one for a GB. Staying focused on one build at a time is what's getting me back on track... I had my fingers in too many pies...

I pick and choose,so not a whole lot,I think I have been involved in 11 at FSM but sorry to say it its been awhile here.But if I join one,I always complete it.Over in Armorama,I have joined and completed 28 in 11 years ,and i'm currently in Big Cats V

I also pick a group build that fits my stash,I think once I actually bought one for a build

Wow! Glad to hear that I'm not the only one that doesn't finish a group build! 

Plasticjunkie, I'm not sure why, but I never the reply buttons on your posts so that I can reply to them. Not sure why that is. And it's not just this thread - it's any that I read that you've posted in. Weird.

Anyways, I impressed with the number of badges you have as well. Twenty-two and counting. Pretty cool!!

That has hapenned a bunch of times and don't know why. I even see that in my own posts then i refresh the browser and the reply tab shows up.

I have gotten lazy about adding the other 5 badges but i will eventually.

I usually get four GB's completed in a year, sometimes five - which is about the max number kits I would build during the course of the year.  I've a varied interest when it comes to models, but mostly is WW2 subjects.   Usually I miss completing one or two.

About the GB's here is they usualy last a full year, though some are staggered to end the following year (depending when they started).  That allows to actually obtain 2 badges with one kit build if the subjects overlap.  In fact, right now you could get three (possibly four?) with one build as there is currently running a Japanese GB, a 1942 anniversary GB, Coral Sea GB, and Midway GB. 

It depends though, on the moderators, but usually they do allow crossovers.  Personally I avoid doing mutiple GB's with one model, but that's just how I roll.

Not sure. I've hosted at least 6. I've participated in many more, but sadly, more as a talker. I tend to get excited, start builds, then get sidetracked and not finish. I think I finished 4-5, which is a small number in relation to how many Gb's I participated in.

And in case your woundering, there's 59 badges.

I did do a small number of cross overs when i first started, but like Jack, i don't now. And i have made up for that as i often complete more than one entry.

I'm a "social" modeler, and with no clubs around me, the GB has been a fun way for me to socialize and it gives me a purpose to complete a build.   For some odd reason, I like to work under a deadline, and most GBs require a finish date. 

So far, I have joined in about 8 and completed 7.  I have become a GB junkie as of late by joining four at the same time.  Fortunatly, most GBs allow "cross-overs", so I can be building one model for two GBs.

Not all GBs have badges, but I do like collecting them.

I have to echo scottrc...I like to interact with fellow GBer's, see their work and have fun conversations about the topic of the GB. Plus I learn a hand full of tips and techniques in GB's.

Bish - 59 and counting lol. We need to have a celebration GB when you make it to the 100th.

Too many and not enough  

Since the great Photobucket fiasco I can't really say for sure how many I've finished, but probably somewhere between 1 and 2 dozen. I've probably signed up for at least 3 for every one I've actually finished.

I can say I have a much better record of finishing GBs here than I have on other sites. I prefer the format used for GBs here where everybody posts ito the same thread.

I frequently over estimate how much spare time I have for hobbys, and I have the attention span of a dog (squirrel!), easily becoming distracted by another project or three.

Interestingly I've also discovered that I have a much higher completion rate of kits when I have open display space to fill, so I really need to get to work on another display case.  

Started one and finished same. If anyone remembers back a few years, it was an oldies '50s car build. I did a '53 Chevy street rod in all flat paints and called it a "Flat Rod". A short time later I started having trouble with PB. I've built many, many kits and taken loads of pics while doing them. I have all the pics saved but can't post any of them. I've sent some of them to friends by e-mail. Would love to be able to post pics on the Forum.

Since the Photobucket fiasco, and Flickr being counter-intuitive if not down right confusing (which I would expect from anything associated with Yahoo), I almost dread the thought of posting anymore.
