Hello, and Merry Christmas everyone,

I have to go into the station tomorrow afternoon, and work unitl Wednesday afternoon. So we had Christmas alittle early this year(tonight). We were going to wait until tomorrow morning(xmas eve) but I didn't feel like waiting. Below are a few kits I got from Santa. Please don't hesitate on Christmas morning or whenever to show us all the goodies you received. Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!!! Hunter

My daughter was heading out of town to spend the holidays with her boyfriend's family, so I got her gift early, a Fossil smartwatch. Pretty neat device. I did order a kit with some Christmas money I received and have a 1/48 scale Tamiya M1A2 Abrams tank and the latest Squadron M60 Patton book.

I also got a pair of Metal Earth photo etched kits. One is a Star Destroyer and the other is the Batwing from the original Batman (Keaton) movie.

Nice haul Hunter, you got a good selection of heavy metal there.

I tend not to get any models as the family never know what to get me. But i usually get cash from my mum and that goes towards somthing modelling related. So no doubt i'll be hitting the net shops tomorrow for somthing.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Nice gift collection Hunter.  Appreciate your dedication as a first responder over the holidays and the time away from family.

Only myself left for now, so my model shopping was done earlier.  Put them up over on Tojo's thread since I finally got pics loaded.

Spending the holidays by myself working on a couple of GB's.

Well, already listed these over on Tojo's most recent purchases thread with a few smaller items but what the hey I'll post the two big kits here again since I unwrapped them tonight. Only problem is- after looking them over they're such nice looking kits I want to kick what I'm working on to the curb to start on them NOW!

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

The 1/32 F-4 seats w/ pilot and RIO, the shinny bag in the middle is the Airscale 1/32 cockpit instrument decal set. I also have an 1/32 Trumpeter F-8E stuck in the mail. It arrived here in Tucson but not before Christmas, should have it tomorrow.

Hey Archangle, that Trumpy kit is really nice. Mine is going together very well with almost no putty needed....yet. I'm about 75% done. One thing to look at is aftermarket landing gear, the mains are nice however the nose has the tire molded to the strut. Not a deal breaker. Nice haul both of you.

Very nice gifts, everyone. My son got me Bandai's 1/144 scale At-At. Unfortunately, it's apparently coming on a slow boat from China as it's not expected to get here until mid-January! But that gives me time to do some mods to my modeling bench in the meantime.

Merry Christmas!

OK, I couldn't resist on this one. All does not always go well when consumerism drives a holiday. A little tounge-in-cheek silliness from my other favorite forum, the Hodaka motorcycle site. (Actually why they call me Hodakamax). Bah, Humbug!

A character on the site got a cool tie, a Bob Ross Coloring book, golf spheres, whatever they are, and a cool veggie Spiralizer tool as seen on TV. Ho,ho,ho! Maybe next year if he's good. LOL!

Ok, I leave you all alone to enjoy your holiday season. Best Wishes to you all!

Got a couple of Tamiya 48th scale kits; Spitfire Vb and the RAF Mustang III (birdcage Mustang canopy and Malcolm hood) and $100 gift certificate at one of the local hobby shops.  Got myself and new pressure regulator / moisture trap just before Xmas.

Hey Hunter, Merry Christmas,

My wife is also working a 36 for EMS through tomorrow, so we had Christmas on Saturday.  I scored well and have the house to myself for a few days.

My father was a plank owner on CV16 after it was modernized, so I'm in the process of building all three generations of the carrier. Low and behold, I was granted the Dragon kit from Santa.

Also got a new set of needles for my airbrush, a much needed airbrush stand, and a whole mess of paints I needed replenished. (She intercepted my supply order I made back in November).

Hodakamax, your story reminds me of my local RC club meeting that was held right after Christmas.  All the members were showing off their new kits, engines, radios, and other goodies and all I had to show was a tie (Mickey Mouse!) and a pair of socks.  At least I won the door prize, a bottle of glue. I was in my final year of college and just starting a family, so the needs outwieght the hobby, but it was a fun time with a swell group of folks.

OK the Bob Ross coloring book would be great for several people I know Geeked

My sister was a little sad that I already had the P-51 and the F-18, but I told her not to worry since I can always do a different scheme with it.  And I really need to get more of the Bandai Star Wars kits.
