I got the call
Posted by modelcrazy on Thursday, January 18, 2018 8:57 AM

I got the call from the transplant clinic this morning stating they have a set for me. I'm just waiting for them to call me back to tell me when to come in. I pray for the family of the donor.

Thank you so much guys. They said the operation will be around midnight and they won't know if the lungs are viable until right up to that point, so it's just waiting now.

This sounds fantastic!  Please, Please, Please keep us updated.  I will be saying prayers for a successful transplant.  Do you have any idea of how long you will be in the hospital?

Do you have any idea of how long you will be in the hospital?

A few days in the ICU, a week or to in a room ans 3 or 4 appointments a week for a month or so. Then it drops to twice a week and so on. They may not let me go back to Boise for maybe a year. At least until they are sure I won't have any problems that can't be handled in Boise.

Hi Steve,

Bad news for the donor family, but they will be lifted by the fact that their loved one's passing will give a gift to others.

Looking forward to a positive match and a great outcome. Thinking of you and yours.

Steve that is awesome news!  Bless the person for signing up to be an organ donor.  Best wishes to you, and hope you have a successful operation without complications.  And hurry back to the fold after you mend!
