There are 78 Trans Am's in Revell, Monogram and AMT. It depends if you want 1/25 or 1/24. Lots of options.

I've been looking at 69 Cameros Wink

I really don't have a favorite subject. I will build just about anything that catches my eye. I have both WW2 and modern aircraft, as well as armor and ships. I have several different scifi subjects such as Star Wars, Star Trek and even as far out as Aliens. I have dinosaurs and motorcycles. About the only subject I don't have is an automobile. But, now, Steve, after your "What was your first car" thread, I'm now looking to find a kit of a 78 Trans Am.

My primary interest is 1/72 WWII aircraft, all nations really, and early jets. Helicopters and WWI are next, followed by 1/72 vehicles. Not much in to autos, ships, or scifi but I appreciate looking at all builds. I must say I've been very intrigued by the 1/48 Golden Era builds that have appeared lately.

My stash is mostly military planes from WW1 to more modern and early jets. My armor is all WW2. So with that said I’m between armor and planes but more into planes, at least for now. Naval subjects are also interesting.

Oh man,

I thought it was ships, then aircraft, and maybe cars, but then I built a tank and thought no, thats not it, but just today, I thought I saw a motorcycle GB offering and its caught my attention like a Great Dane seeing a squirrel.

No wonder I can't finish anything.  And don't get me started down the road with model trians, RC planes, or anything controlled by a radio for that matter, rockets, and sports cars.

I use to have 2 plastic tubs full of N scale rolling stock and engines I collected throughout the years, but I finally realized I'll never have the room for a layout so I sold everything off.

There was a time when I lived and breathed model railroads. I still have all of my rolling stock in storage, thinking one day I might put it on display.

I gave it up when I no longer had adequate real estate.

Military aircraft is #1 for me.  Helicopters would have to be #2.  I did enjoy building a 1/12 model of my car, but it would really have to be something I cared about, I have purchased a motorcycle kit, but haven't gotten to it yet.  Again, it would have to be a bike I liked.  Not really into tanks, busts, figures, sci-fi stuff.  I guess I'm just fascinated with things that fly, lol.

Yeah Don, come to think of it I like trying, or at least thinking about, replicating sunken ships. I watch the new series "Drain the Ocean" on NatGeo and the last episode showcased sunken treasure. The wreck of the Atocha or HMS Edinburgh looked interesting.

My ranking of categories varies all the time.  I think that means my favorites are pretty close in interest (aircraft, ships, racing cars) but I build other things too (a little bit of armor and artillery, occasionally dioramas, trucks, railroad things.

I once told people I would model anything that moved under its own power.  Then, in a catalog for book lovers, I found a kit for the Gutenberg printing press, ordered and built it.

I am highly susceptible to the media!  Regardless of what I am working on at the moment, if I read a good book on some subject, or see a movie or TV show on something, I am driven to model something related to it.  I guess this is the reason I have so many models in my stash, and so many models in my temporary (shelves of doom) area.

I tend to flit between my main subjects types from build to build. And my favorites are pretty much fixed. But my order of prefreance would be.

1 Anything German, hard to chosse a favorite between aircraft and armour, i just happen to have more aircraft.

2 Other 1/72nd aircraft in this order

 Norfolk based

 Modern British

 Modern US

 Anything else

3. Sci-Fi

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Wow! What an interesting subject. For me it’s all I like to build, paint and weather. I guess my inspiration is the movies for example the beast,I look in  my stash oh a t-55 and I start on it. Airplanes ,cars, ships , science fiction, monsters I love it all. I’m still a 58 year old kit at heart And yes there all at the top.

I bounce back and forth as well. But I tend to stick primarily with armor, aircraft, and figures, so it’s more between eras than the kit types. So I vary my kits between:

WWII

Cold War

Vietnam

Korea

Arab/Israeli Wars

Gulf Wars

”other” wars, incidents, interventions, etc.

and the occasional dabble in ships, sci fi, and real space.

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Hi,

For me, mostly ships, and some cars, though I used to do some airplanes as well.

Right now, I am especially interested in commercial ships, smaller ships, pre-dreadnaught era ships and 1940 to mid 1950s cars and trucks. Smile

1/35 figures and vingnettes/dioramas. With figures and a piece of Armor or something else to look at. I like eclectic subjects.
