Exactly you can not please all the people all the time. So do not worry about nay sayers, I haven't just popped in I know which members opinions matter to me and by the sound of it so do you.

And then there's another set of high skilled modelers who share their latest projects. They've already completed their work and have posted the in progress photos and completed photos across multiple websites. They ain't looking for critiques, their just sharing their works of art with us.

Tell me if I'm wrongbut I think the point you're making is know your audience. I'm very much a casual modeler ootb but I do have a couple of kits with AM stored in them. I'm my worst critic recently a kit arrived for my first GB containing PE a surprise. There will be a couple of firsts with this build but by posting it I will be looking for and expecting positive and critical comments, hopefully aimed at building confidence by which the stored boxes can stop being avoided.

Rob, I truly appreciate the honest critique feedback that you and some others provide. If I cannot incorporate it into that project, I usually attempt to do so on the next one. 

I've also stopped replying as much as I used to and just read most posts. People here are more apt to call you a rivet counter if you try to provide anything beyond "good job". Even members who want feedback won't get real feedback because of the responses it will garner from other members.

There are several members who strive for high quality builds that are as near to perfection as they can get that I will make recommendations. Mainly modelers in the modern US armor genre like stik, gino, pawel and several other modelers. I will provide realistic feedback to the best of my ability with those guys. It may or may not be of use to them and they may or may not take heed of my observations, but I'll still try to assist them.

Yes, the more involved, well written the post, the more likely the forum will hiccup and all your typing will vanish. I've gotten into the habit of copy/pasting the text into an email and then work on it there. When done, copy and paste it back into my response.

I've lost too many responses, and only occasionally re-respond.

FSM have made mention of a planned upgrade the capabilities you listed are handy, we should put up a wish list and hope those in charge take notice many here are long time subscribers and forum users our points should be considered.

Yeah... and look what happened at the last upgrade. Too many folks ended up getting locked out, thus resulting a lot of unhappy campers. Some even left FSM because of that. I have no optimism that things will go smoothly - especially with their incompetent IT staff. 

Perhaps they're trying to get us to switch over to Facebook?

after the last “upgrade” and all of our resulting similar such feedback over losing those capabilities and the actual fixes applied, I’m not optimistic.

If I have a long wrire up I do it in Word and cut and paste.

TB, if you're doing a long-ish post, the page's automatic tendency to 'refresh' can cause you all sorts of grief.

It's a lot less aggravating to compose your post in a document program (Word, Open Office, Wordpad, etc.), then paste it into the forum post using Control-V.

Saves me a lot of mental wear and tear while I'm gathering my ever-more scattered thoughts.
