What sport is your overall favorite?

What sport is your overall favorite? The one you stop other things to watch? I love football, any team, even college. Base ball is a distant second.

Football for the most part.

Although over the course of my life,I really enjoyed watching the Larry Bird Celtics of the 80's and the Dave Cowens Celts of the 70's

Well;

I really don't get carried away by either. I guess you would say basketball. Why? Well, who wouldn't enjoy watching the moves of the players after being interduced to the game By a night with the Original Harlem Globetrotters? I mean Meadowlark Lemon was just awesome. Larry Bird later on, with his team weren't so bad either and our Spurs ,well , nuff said.  T.B.

My daughter lives in Oakland, I've had the Warriors as clients for years.

I really like basketball a lot more.

Neither.  I like baseball much better than either football or basketball.

I'm bored by both.  I had to watch them both when I was a little kid, my dad and brother liked them.  One was outside in either cold or rainy conditions, the other indoors.  A bunch of guys running around for no apprent reason.  Baseball was VERY dull.  I had to go many times.  I use any excuse to get out of going. I still don't care for them.  I'd rather build a model.

I used to teach frncing so I guesdsd that could be a answer, but since I have a hard time with it now, I''ll have to saw shooting as a new choice.  At least I can still do that when not making models.

When the Olympics are on I'm tuned in and away from the workbench. Otherwise, I tend to watch college football on Saturday afternoons and the NFL on Sundays & Monday nights. But, I'm a lifelong Texas Rangers fan so baseball has to be my number one. If it's a good game, it will definitely pull me away from the workbench.

If you want to see the toughest, hardest hitting game in the world, then see if you can watch this game live on TV.

They DO NOT wear any protective padding, not like the weak little 'pussies' do in that so called football game in america, this is totally brutal stuff.

Have a look here, NO padding AT ALL, not like your 'pussies' wear, they just need testicles the size of coconuts to play this game.

Lol Graham.  Sit on your finger.  I'm a big college football fan.  Anything motorsports.  And love college lacrosse when it's on.  The finals are great.

Thanks,

John

Seriously,I tried to look up the sizes of the players, but I couldnt translate the metrics, tough sport no doubt, but do they have 300 pounders who could fly, with the size and speed of NFL players, they need protection.

The sport of Rugby is really fun to watch live. There were some epic matches between the Old Blues at Cal, and Stanford.

The good part is that so much of football gear gets used as a weapon. In Rugby, you spear another guy with your head and you both suffer the consequences.

My favorite sport is baseball. I never played it organized, I'm not a talented athlete, but I go to games all the time. It's actually nice to be a fan of teams that don't make the playoffs because the regular season tickets get cheap.

That's a dumb comment. Sometimes it pays to put brain in gear before engaging mouth.

Thats cool Steve.  I've never seen it, but I have a friend that makes the trip to Reno every year.  I've seen lots of airshows but would like to see the races.  I think they used to do them down here in San Diego - Red Bull over the bay.

Thanks,

John

Better go get hold of some Vietnam era soldiers and ask them about the inter battalion sports, the Aussises would play that 'little girly tag team' NFL game and even beat them at it every now and then. But, when these same NFL players were asked to have a game of Rugby League, then they flat out refused to play stating things like, ---- nope, that suicidal.

So much truth there.  I played street football, a bunch of pick up games as a kid, but after playing full contact football in highschool I wouldn't do street ball.. coaches said not to do it to.  Different game after you have had the gear on.  Way to violent to play shirts and skins after full contact with gear.

Thanks,

John

I don’t like watching spectator sports.  I’m a nerd.

I like Formula-1, but from a technical point of view and only the 1970-1980 era.  Today, the guys manning those Mission Control consoles have as much say as the driver, sometimes more.  Too much committee, too much computers, too much aero vanes on the cars.  They look like next gen razors.

That being said, I liked scuba diving a LOT.  Probably influenced by all those Jacques Costeau TV shows when I was small.  Doing stuff has always been more enjoyable than watching for me.

I hear you G.  I was always outside playing the game.  And in highschool,  i played football.  Also competed in shot put way back.  And to date I race a 760 rwhp dodge charger on the 1320 and run my boss 302 laguna seca on the twisties.   Doing stuff is fun!

That said, I watch the pros because I'm terrible at all the above...lol

Thanks,

John
