"Diversified", yeah, that's a nice way of putting it; Mahalo.
As for farm and family, My wife, Annie, and I have five acres, half of which is horses. They are what is refered to as 'dry-lotted', meaning that we don't have green grass fields for them to graze on. It's mostly dirt and scrub, but that's the nature of things in the high desert.
My number two son (now a cop in California) was born in Honolulu (Tripler) while I was stationed there back in the 80's. I believe that it wasn't til we moved back to the mainland that he actually wore shoes. It was shorts and dakine slippers only. With that we still push for the kamaaina discount!

This is our little guy, although he's now 2-1/2 and looks like a horse (eats like one too).
