Gotta wonder if anyone even knew what was going on,and it kinda just fixed itself

LOL! Well, the powers that be can still claim it by default, since we did bring it to their attention... even if the glitch went away on its own... lol!

UPDATE: Hi everyone, We're going to reboot the Forum server at 1 PM CDST. While the reboot will only take a few minutes, don't post around 1 PM because your message might be lost. This should hopefully clear up things and get the Forum running quicker again. Thanks, Tim

UPDATE: The Online Team has dug into the issue and are on it. I realize there is some unevenness the upload speeds right now, but I'll ask you to bear with it through the weekend--though it is a long one. My goal is to have it rectified next week. I'll let you know more when I can. Thanks!

Well it looks like I had a relapse.  Going slow again but not quite as slow as last time.

I just checked the A.R.C. forums and it's running fine there.

Started out a little while ago and things were a little faster. After about 1/2 hr things got back to sloooooooooooooow again. Now it's hit & miss. Every once in a while it speeds up for about 5 minutes then goes back to slow. Don't seem to be having same problem with any other sites.

I had to search back to 2016 postings and it took me some time and several tries to get back there. What a pain.

No speed up or return to normal speeds for me yet. But it's nice to know that the FSM IT folks are aware of the problem.

This reminds me of that TV commercial where a guy ask his girl "Is your internet running slow?"  And he's starting to grow a beard.  When the shot switches to the girl, she replies "Yeah it's running slow."  And she also has a beard!  Big Smile

Thanks for looking into this Tim!

I've been getting a mixture of normal speed and sluggish today. Doesn't seem any rhyme or reason to it. Guess it could be internet infrastructure but I'd not been having the same performance hit to other sites.

Yeah, I noticed it, too, since Monday morning, and wasn't sure if it was my machine.  It's a little better today, but still slower than usual.  Pages usually take a couple of seconds to load for me, whether saving replies or navigating, and it's taking about 10 seconds.  I run Chrome on a Win10 machine.

I thought it was my computer too.  Some other sites seem just as slow, but a virus check says everything okay.  Is some place flooding the 'net with super amount of traffic?

I have an email in with our online team about this. For my part, I haven't experienced a slow down when working remotely on the Forum. There have been a number of infrastructure hits around the country, and that could be part of it. I am not aware of us doing any internal maintenance, switches, or testing that may have affected performance, but as I said, I'm checking. It seems that many of you are seeing the speed improve again, so that's movement in the right direction. If I find out anything of consequence, I'll let you know.

Thanks,

TK
