I agree, post away.
I like what Joe said here....

You usually talk as though you were standing right in front of a fellow hobbyist, meaning that if one of us were physically present with one another we'd have a TON of stuff to talk about. There really needs to be a whole lot more of that across the forums. Post on brother.
I mostly don't in-person-talk in short, snappy sentences either. In my engineering curriculum, we had a course on effective business written communication. The objective was to get to the point, present the facts and data, and leave anything extra out. Believe it or not, I can do it. And in business cummunication it makes sense. But I'm not here to discuss business, I'm here to learn, share info, have some fun and as we used to say when we were kids...."mess around".
I know I can ramble too, and that it probably annoys some folks sometimes. I don't do it on purpose, and I certainly dont want to annoy anyone, and I'm sure you don't either. I just don't find short, snappy sentences to be (normally) effective communication. Not when discussing hobbies, anyway.
Comments beyond 5 word sentences seem to annoy some folks, and I get that. Heck, depending on how the day is going sometimes they annoy me too. Sometimes my own posts annoy me on reread. For real. (maybe sort of what you just experienced in reviewing the forum and seeing your own posts)
As with just about everything in life, the answer probably lies somewhere in the middle of too yacky and too short. I try to shorten my posts, sometimes with success, sometimes not so much.
Anyway, I don't recall you forcing anyone to read your posts, so my would be not to worry about it. If this were a professional, techical, or business forum, you would likely have a valid worry. But it's not.
