MISTER WingNut, SIR-

please understand that right now Mosquito Pass is under 5+ feet of snow.  As much as you want to hold a convention up there, it just ain't gonna happen until MAYBE July.

Please understand, sir.  Approve [^]

I've never been to a model show, so forgive a newbie question.

The flyer talks about registration fees for showing models.  But if I don't bring any, if I just want to stop in and look around, check out the vendors, that sort of thing, is there a entrance fee?

padakr, Bring more than $6 with you.  The Nut is right it's worth every penny but you'll find your self spending more penniesTongue [:P] at the vendors, then on tickets for the raffles, then get something to eat cause you realize you been there for hours and need nourishmentDinner [dinner]Burger [BG], then when you go back to the vendors when you check out the awesome builds in the show and say to your self "I want me one of those!", and then..........Well you get what I meanWink [;)]  Hope to see a few people there.  It is a great time!

We should come up with a time and a meeting spot to take a group photo to throw up here on the forum (hopefully no one throws up when they see us)

And yes, bring multiple pennies.  One has to calculate how much to bring.  This is an easy calculation.  First determine your GHIF (Gotta Have It Multiplier) subtract from that the WWKMD (Wife Will Kill Me Detractor).  You now have your NVIPMF (Net Vendor Induced Penny Multiplication Factor).  It is possible to make last minute adjusted when you return home using the IWTITR (I Won That In The Raffle) strategy.  Choose wisely as this can generally only be used on 1 item.

Hey, I like the group photo thing, how about in mid-afternoon?

But I did really win something in the raffle about 3 years ago! What am I gonna do this year? The saving grace is that I didn't buy anything last year even though I had money burning in my pocket!

Guys, sounds like a plan.  I did win the Trumpeter F100-d Super Sabre last year in the raffle Though.

Marc, That sounds like a lot of naughts and goesinta's involved.  How about the LIITCUSGTBATPIITS (Leave It In The Car Until She Goes To Bed And Then Put It In The Stash) strategy.Wink [;)]Evil [}:)]

Will refuse all OTs to be there! (well, at least for half a day =P)  I am prepping several kits for jerseycon so I am not bringing any over.  Bringing some coworkers to the show so I might not be able to stay to the full day either.  Hopefully with this new work project beginning right away in april, I can get out of Baltimore finally!!!  And away from the limited supplies I brought with me to the hotel!

Well, we can hand out some Hello Name Stickers (tiny ones) when you register with your models and mention that you are on FSM forum then put your screenname on it (slightly less dorky... but dorky in many ways anyways).  Marc do you think some strings can be pulled to do this? =P  Figured I'd throw the idea out there.

Ok, Down to a week!  Marc, I think the pic thing is a great idea.  You got the low down on logistics where and when do you suggest?

Hi, Chris, saw the pm, and everyone else's posts, I'm up for it, too!

I'll be there this weekend for the toy soldier show, so I can see if there's a good landmark around the place that we could all use as a meeting place, if we want to do a meet-n-greet and take a pic for the forum, and post it back here.

Regards.

Brad

I've been going for a few years, the layout is as follows:

When you first walk in the lobby, there's a reception area. To the left is a large room where the vendors setup. Right near that entrance is where the raffles take place, and food is in the back. If you go right at the reception, that's the gym and all the models are there.

Marc, Is this still the setup?
