Hey Bish,

Yeah,  gotta love the old Esci kits. Even though they have their quirks, they are a solid foundation to work one's magic on.  90% of the kits are still factory sealed kind of neat considering their age.

Hey RX7850,

84 kits!  Man, that is something.  If you don't mind me asking, was this an on-line purchase, estate sale, etc?  The reason I ask is I had thought about starting a post with everyone's "great finds/purchases".  Everyone has had some sort of great find, estate sale find, large lot of kits find....something that just doesn't happen every day.  Stuff like this is exactly the type of stories I was thinking of.  Anyway, great stash builder story!

LOL,

You read my mind.  The idea has been bouncing around in my head for a while I just wasn't sure there would be  any interest..  Since returning to the hobby I have been on a continuous spending spree ( just beginning to get  it in check Wink ) Lots of great deals on kits, tools, etc.  And as you stated everyone has come across a great deal or out of the way find that otherwise would have gone unnoticed.   There is a post here about what is a good alternative to a Dremel . Members gave alternative options like the bead reamer from Michael s and the pedicure polishing kit from WalMart.  I would like to start a thread were members can post these great and creative options as an alternative to  the typical hobby store / Ebay  purchase.  I have  come across many items  that would be an asset to our hobby  but are otherwise given no consideration yet are under our noses  in the isles of Walmart, Lowes , Homedepot, Michaels crafts Stores, Job Lots, etc.  God knows we modelers are always looking to save a buck Big Smile. So if you want to start a reference thread were members can post the latest deals, and discoveries go for it . I got your back.

I recently posted about the auction site that I purchased these kits from it's called Proxibid.com . There Is an upcoming auction chock full of 1/35 armor .   If your interested look up  Alternative to Ebay,  Heres a link thou I'm no sure it will work.  http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/general_discussion/f/9/t/153252.aspx.

Brilliant!  Great idea.  Like you, since I have gotten back into the hobby, I have been buying like a mad man (I'm just about to 300 in the stash now)!  But, I keep it to what I want to pay for a kit (factoring in shipping too) and I wait.  Most of the time I don't get what I want, but as funny as it sounds, like on evilbay, it comes in waves.  I will hit 2-7 kits for ridiculous prices that no one bids on, then I can't catch a break on anything I'm watching!  Too funny.  Anyway, as for the cheaper versions of tools and acces....oh yeah, I'm all for that!  You should start that post.  I'll hit the good deals one.  While I was in the Air Force, I never built models.....I just kept buying them!  I had a couple of great deals there and just in the past year, I have had 3 great opportunities.  Details to come in the post!  I will definitely check out this site you mentioned.......buying models in bulk?  O.K.!!!!!!!
