No, not at all.  I have ordered many times from them, and they ship their orders quickly.

I will personally vouch for Sprue Brothers. I have ordered from them on numerous occasions and never once felt that my security was at risk in any way. They are simply one of the most reliable and trustworthy sites for modelers that exists.

Tell him to go to this site: http://www.network54.com/Forum/47211/search

Type sprue bros into the search field and click the "match" bubble and then hit search.

He'll get a few pages of guys singing the praises of Gordon Kwan.

Generally the best price and service I've experienced. I thought Greatmodels used to be good. Just be sure to order in-stock items for fastest service.

I've always had great experiences with them.  Sometimes they even get the order shipped the day I place it.

I'm gonna have to agree with every one else here! Sprue Brothers is very reliable, secure and speedy with shipping in-stock products. I just ordered some Mr. Surfacer from them and paid with Paypal.

+1. I ordered from them and paid through PayPal.  Not only did they ship that day, BUT when the actual shipping cost turned out less than the calculated cost from their website they deposited the difference back into my PayPal account.

I have not had to wait more than 2 weeks, and I'm in the UK. But once it leaves them, its all in the hands of the postal service. If they can post in less than 24 hours of you placing your order, I don't think you can ask more than that.

Every order I place has shipped within two hours of giving it to them. All the orders I've placed have been delivered in three days from UPS.

Although I don't use Pay-pal because it's my wife's account, I have nothing but the best to say for Sprue Brothers.

Count me in as another Sprue Brothers fan.  I haven't had a problem as yet.  (Knock on wood.)  And I agree with what others have said.  The shipping is pretty quick, though it depends on your shipping choice.  I've seen my orders shipped from them rather quickly.

You probably run a greater risk having your CC/Debit card compromised at the local restaurant than at SP, this is not to say they couldn't be hacked, EVERY system can.

Sprue Bros. are my 'go to' source for modeling supplies on the Internet.  Super fast order processing and I've never had any issues with their service.  No concerns at all ordering from them.

I made a comment on this forum one time about how I thought their search function and page loading was a bit slow compared to other online vendors, and was surprised to get an email from them the next day asking for specifics and suggestions on how they could improve things.  Very impressive.

I do vaguely recall that they had some glitches with their site few years ago, but they were on top of it got things straightened out in short order.
